Hand washing every day. The only time a dishwasher would be handy is when you entertain and put out all the fine dishes and cutlery, clean up is challenging, so throw things in the dishwasher.
I actually was pro hand washing only. But then I learned that the temperature the water can get to in the dishwasher allows for better disinfection which can’t happen with hand washing. So I’ve mostly switch over.

I love washing dishes by hand because it relaxes me to have my hands submerged in the warm, fragrant, soapy water! I never leave dirty dishes stacked in the sink, and I wash as I cook! I store my clean dishes in the dishwasher. It's been that way for years! To each his own!😊
So mee. I can’t cook while dishes are in the sink so my kitchen is always clean. My dishwasher is a storage unit for my pans 😂 Also if I move I give myself like a day and everything needs to be in its place. No boxes in sight in 24Hrs 😌

I organized everything in the boxes by the rooms that they were to be unpacked in and this made it a lot easier when unpacking. I also got rid of a lot of stuff that we didn't need to take with us and this also helped a lot. I hate clutter and if it's not being used then we either donate it or toss it.

Clean the dishes by hand so you can feel the cleanliness. I don't trust a dishwasher. I see at other people's homes, the dishes comes out spotted and with food cakes on it still. Just nasty.

I'm in the middle. Initially, unpack what you'll need everyday. Then unpack as you need stuff. Anything unpacked after 6 months gets trashed...sight unseen. Of course you keep tax returns, etc.

I totally get the dishwasher thing. I use mine for storage but have to run it once a month so it doesn’t break down. It uses too much water for dishes for one so I don’t use it. If you guys have kids, I think you will transition to regular dishwasher use.

You are both very comfortable with one another. I believe there is longevity in your relationship. You don't have a problem with communicating and expressing yourselves. You are open and I love your sense of humor. Learning more about each other in your new setting is great to witness. My apartment came with a dishwater I don't use. As a matter of fact, one visit with my grandson from MI, he came and used it only to flood it out. I love the way you interact with one another.

I totally get the dishwasher thing. I use mine for storage but have to run it once a month so it doesn’t break down. It uses too much water for dishes for one so I don’t use it. If you guys have kids, I think you will transition to regular dishwasher use.
I would love to wash by hand but because of bad back, I have to use the DW, good luck on this new journey.

I'm 31, I'm ole school as well. I prefer to wash dishes by hand. I get the convenience of a dishwasher, but it does run the electricity up slightly.
Unpacking: Out of the box & put up in is rightful place. If it has no place, in the trash or give away pile it goes.

I was searching for a different video and one of yours was suggested. That was at 7:30. I've been working on a project- it's now 11pm and I've watched all your videos.
1) you guys are stupid cute.
2) I like how it feels like the channel belongs to you both - not like person got dragged into doing this (if there was a reluctant party it doesn't show)
3) 🖐hand washing dishes for me - unless it's like Thanksgiving then the dishwasher can take care of half of it.
