I procrastinated to watch this video for a week, just to find out that.. it’s nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get 360 & 540 Waves without a Durag 🤦🏾‍♂️ 😭. Lesson Learned I guess but DAMN I think if U at least use a Wave Cap U will be Successful but only after a fresh cut plus your hair gotta be 1 inch long. So yeahh , I might try that cuz I need to Scalp, havin’ Coarse Hair as a African American is the Realest Struggle EVER especially, when U don’t have New Brushes:/

Hey @wavemanmike new subscriber. I’m a natural curly girl and Im cutting my curls. I like the length you had in your curls to waves/waves to curls video. What length would I ask my barber for? I trust him but I want to be able to know what I’m asking for. I may go back between curls and waves. Not trying to become elite or anything like that because I already know going back n forth can create forks. Appreciate the help.

Try asking for a 2 with the grain. That’s a pretty general hair length for beginners.
If that’s too long then you could try a 1 or 1.5 with the grain.

I was looking for some tips im actually going on a journey rn to see if i can get my 360 waves back without a durag its been a week so far & my hair is already waving up brushing is truly key to getting waves... Now im not using pomade although it would help & i would have a cleaner look i dont think it's needed i would said use a moisturizer that you like maybe a thicker hair grease.. Also ik for my hair texture wash & style does work but i noticed that the bar soap , method works much better for my hair when getting & keeping my waves
