I think Needletick would be more fun and more valuable if the collapse status displayed how much damage it would do to a health bar once it expires. Imagine something like the health bar indicator for Guillotine, but each stack of collapse makes the bar longer. Once you see it overtake the current HP of your enemy, you know when to stop attacking it. This would also allow the player to see how much damage they can realistically do with their collapse stacks, so they know if they need to invest in more attack speed or other sources of damage. Edit: some typos
This is just an appreciation comment for you race !! I got my e8 gold badge yesterday and I never would've started if i hadn't been watching your content so thank you!! Your videos and VODs constantly keep me entertained, you're an absolute legend
I like watching runs where you just do weird shit or use "bad" items/skills. Those videos specifically help me understand the game and get better runs! :)
This is a comment for Kami appreciation. Amazing edits👍🏽 Doing the extra work of grabbing all the chat. Thank you for all you do😁 As an exclusive youtube watcher(hard to watch stream due to time difference) I would want more videos, but given the quality of each video, I am more than content
Chat mentioned the plimp/ATG discourse, so I would like to put in my two cents. I feel like a somewhat neglected element of the plimp vs. ATG discourse is the item economy. I've noticed that when most people compare the two items, the comparison is often made between either an atg or a plimp. The question is typically asked in a vacuum and we often compare proc coefficents and damage of one stack of either item. However, in an actual run, this either/or dynamic is inapplicable, as the choice is never between one atg or one plimp. It is often a choice between an atg or two plimps. More specifically, it is a choice between an x amount of ATGs and a minimum of x+1 plimps. Choosing to use ATGs instead of plimp means at minimum losing out on 1 plimps of potential damage, whereas choosing plimps means you will benefit from the ATGs as well when they corrupt. Choosing ATGs is almost always a damage loss for this reason as you'd have to be leaving an item on the floor. Even with clover, you would have to consider if the boosted proc chance to ATGs gives enough of a damage boost over losing the extra damage from +1 plimp. Although, I am truthfully unsure which would be better. Is what I am saying make sense? Am i mistaken when I say that the item economy is not considered in this discussion? Am I mathing this out wrong? I would like to hear people's thoughts.
@tcghosted As I wrote, it's x ATGs vs. x+1 plimp. If you have no ATGs, then the choice is no ATGs right now, and praying for more later or 1 plimp now plus whatever ATGs you find later. The question becomes, "Do I hold out for chance to get an ATG or do I grab a plimp now?" In all contexts, you're leaving one of the best damage items on the floor. But none of that is even relevant, as I can't think of a situation where you wouldn't grab a plimp if you don't have ATGs. Like, maybe if you're playing rex and you want to use the self-damage skills, you want to scrap any ATGs you find later, or it's a void potential and the other options are safer spaces, plute, or larva, but all of that goes beyond the scope of the discussion. The question of "which one is better?" is only relevant in a run when you can actually choose between ATGs or plimps.
@@brand3973 i honestly don’t think it’s a worthwhile discussion at all. any scenario where you wouldn’t pick up a plimp is just too rare. ATG is great, but plimp is guaranteed extra damage just for having shield. it’s way too good to ever pass up.
i really enjoyed the modded survivor vids. i know most of em aren’t exactly balanced but it’s nice seeing something created by the community that fits into vanilla.
to be honest man i simply don't have patience to follow a stream schedule or a non cut down stream, I've hopped in stream a few times to ask a question or say hi but i love your house rules you play by and have adopted them myself, that being said; keeping it interesting with mods, events and id love to see more e8 content with other creators, keep it up!
14:37 honestly anything you do I'll probably enjoy, especially risk of rain. As for specific I love multiplayer. With 3 or 4 people could be interesting.
I think more challenge runs could be fun, but the issue with that is coming up with interesting ideas for runs that also aren't completely awful to play
13:46 you mentioned that before I believe the reason this would be a fair mechanic, espically now is due to the extra more chests implemented making the Void Fields basically another stage instead of hidden one with a different from of Risk and Reward.
TH-cam ideas: Show us just how boring Lunar Items make the game by slaughtering the game using only lunars. Similar to the Benthic Bloom charity runs, do a run where you start with Bloom, Eulogy (Domino), and Corrupted Dio's for a full chaos run. I've personally loved seeing your co-op runs with people and would love to see more. I enjoy hearing the fun banter (no offense to chat but they arent always that fun of a "co-host" as an actual mic'd up bud). I also really enjoy hearing you talk co-op strategy, macro economy, and diversifying your builds to not dight over the same items. I think it adds good layers to the gameplay. And finally, a Heritic Ego/Clensining run. You kill all your abilities so you only have 4 Squaks and beat the game using only your items, equipments, and any fun jabk you can do with Squak.
You know i don't think having 9 ticks is good for you. Does Petrichor V have a hospital? Okay actually bad idea they might try to murder you there as well.
I like when you post god runs and cope runs. and I think going back to people seeds would still make a good series. VOD review could be okay but runs take forever. maybe you can do a quick VOD review like 5 minutes clipped together and how they die THEN do the seed they had
I M P L O D E. *crunch* the sheer level of damage that collapse can deal in one go is insane. biggest issue is that one stack of it can easily kill a player, but enemies can tank one or two stacks no problem. having that be more balanced might work, but i have no idea lol sick run tho, always interesting to me how many builds you can make in ror2
Do you have a video/clip explaining how to skip pillars at the end without Milky/Vase equipments? Is it literally just falling off with safer spaces and the momentum sends you back up? Or gotta time a jump?
Hello, Race. Can I ask for either a YT Short or something for a tutorial to safely go down to the Void Fields from Bazaar for survivors without much mobility? I vaguely remember you made a quick tutorial for it in one of your vids but idk what exact video it was. ... or is it impossible to go to Void Fields as Engineer without item mobilities like Hopoo Feather... Thanks!
Hey Race, I'm not sure if you even have control over this but do you think any more VODs are ever gonna get posted to the Risk of Resources TH-cam channel? It's been a few months since anything got posted there. If not it's okay, I just don't have time to watch them on Twitch so I enjoyed watching them there

speaking of modded runs, I was always kinda curious the opinion of someone with so much knowledge of the ins and outs of RoR2, how do you think things like Starstorm 2 or Mystics Items affect the overall balance of the game? I love to see the modded ideas people come up with but it kinda puts a sour taste in my mouth if it feels like those ideas are just handing a win over because they're too good. (ignoring the condemned bond of course because that already is a completely broken item to be able to get stage 2 every single run)

@@RacesVideos dude what??? Thank you for the reply. I would have never guessed that. It truly feels random to me how it maneuvers in the fight, especially if it gets distracted somehow by a gunner turret across the map.
Is Hostile Worlds really cancelled? Looked like one of the most awful things I’ve ever seen. The “new survivors” looked like they were worked up in the imagination of Bobby KoDick. “Field doctor”, “Technomancer”, “Unbound”. Wtf? The ability to “switch between survivors” like this is Genshin Impact? The whole project was, in my opinion, spitting upon the legacy of RoR.

it’s not uncommon at all to find a plimp before finding an ATG, so this ATG vs 2 plimps argument seems kinda moot.
