      @@thatRotaryCarGuy appreciate it for the follow up Mann I’m a longtime fan, kind of lurking 20 years in 3 FC’s, I settled down with my 88 Turbo two. I definitely am going to get the steering kit you described.

      Of course man, anytime! And thank u so much! I'm about to build my Turbo FC soon too. Hopefully everything goes well with ur steering setup and let know if ever run in to any problem installing them!

    Always dig the rotary content, especially na drifting. Got a question for you. Did you start off drifting with no angle mods? I've had a lot to repair on my FC and would say i've done one year of drifting collectively from two events in 2020 and two last year. I can get the car to flick out but it's a struggle to keep it sliding. I'm in a stock s4 with manual rack, welded diff, complete PBM solid rear, FA coils, etc. I'm willing to bet my biggest hurdles as of now is the lack of power steering and angle mods but I truly want to learn the car first. The plan for this year is swapping out the manual rack for a de-powered one with rack spacers. Is this a decent intermediate move for a novice like me or should I just get an angle kit?
    Btw I'm rocking the stock radiator with RB hoses and it does great. The big change for my engine bay temps came from wrapping my RB header. In hindsight, I should have coated it with something instead to prevent moisture damage. Sorry for the lengthy comment, looking forward to seeing more

      Not a problem man! Thank for enjoying my content and u for taking ur time with ur comment 🙌 I appreciate it!
      I actually started out with stock angle when I first drifted. I didn't get the steering angle upgrade until 3 years ago which made a big difference. I wouldn't say that would be ur problem as far as the "struggling" part. If ur struggling to keep it drifting, then it has something to do with the way the suspension is set up and other things like, tire pressure, toe, or camber.
      One of the most important thing as well is to find the optimum alignment for ur setup.
      And yes, I would definitely suggest getting ur headers coated instead of wrapped. Thats what I've done with my headers. @jethot did mine and they came out really good.
      Also, let me know what tire pressure ur running, ur FA coilover settings, and ur alignment so i could compare it with my setup so that I could maybe help u with ur drift setup.
      And if u want, we could follow each other on IG so we could communicate easier

    86-88 rx7 had clutch type LSD not vlsd just a small tidbit that wasnt mentioned. cool video though enlightned me on what to do

    • @thatRotaryCarGuy
      @thatRotaryCarGuy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ohhhh ur totally right! I totally forgotten about that! 86-88 GXL & GTU did come with clutch type LSD and the 89-91 were made with VLSD. My first RX7 was an 87 GXL and it did have Clutch Type. It's been a while 😂 thanks for reminding Mr about that lol. And thank u so much man! Glad I could somehow help!

  • @Clutchkickhunter
    @Clutchkickhunter 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    My opinion, a packed clutch lsd is better than a welded diff. Also, minimal angle is best to learn on.

      I can agree with u on that. I started out with really shallow angle on my FC and it taught me a lot 🙌

    I’m getting Pbm coils, but debating between Pbm knuckles/lowers or villains kit, any suggestions?

    • @DirtNastyLow572
      @DirtNastyLow572 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pbm is better but villains is fine

    • @thatRotaryCarGuy
      @thatRotaryCarGuy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have not used or tried PBM knuckles/lowers but Villains kit will save u a ton of money and they work amazing! It's a great way to get into modding ur steering angle without having to break ur bank. I would say that they are the 2nd after PBM.

    First mod before you beat on the car is an aluminum radiator.
