What a great, dedicated therapist. I wish more people in this world actually got the help they think they don’t need. Therapy Turned my life around when I was 15-19, I never could have imagined getting out of the dark depressing hole I was In, but because of people like this I was almost reborn. 25 now and still going strong and those dark memories that haunted my childhood were forever changed, and looked at in a different way. God bless people like this and the hard work they truly do.

Hi Is Emotion Focused Therapy the same as Emotional Freedom Technique (also abbreviated EFT,)? I would be interested in whichever - both or Emotional Freedom Technique if it's a series of exercises or questions/ meditation that does not involve tapping. I understand Emotion Focus Therapy has tapping I believe, hwr I am looking for the non-tapping therapy option if possible. Thank you to anyone who can advise!
Hi Jennifer. They are two different things. It sounds like you are looking for Emotionally-Focused Therapy (what Dr. Sue Johnson originated). The tapping one is Emotional Freedom Technique, which is based on tapping meridians.
You said to validate a person. Does it hsve to be sibcere? Would fake validation work out?

I can relate to what she says about being energized after working with clients. There is something very rewarding about helping a person have a breakthrough, or even just knowing that you helped make their day a little bit better.
