Yes, that is considered a hard piece, even for concert-level professionals. It was one of 27 "studies" ("etude" is French for "study") Chopin wrote to challenge his students. It is arguably the most famous of the lot, and is often performed in formal recitals as a way for pianists to do a little showing off. As others have pointed out, "Revolutionary Etude" is not Chopin's original name for it.
Thanks for the nice review. Lovebites plays various kinds of metal music at a high level. If you think that this song has a strong classical color, it is also like an opera, and along the way there is a movement related to Asami's ballet. The country called Japan likes "fusion". It's music, food, culture ... Galneryus also fuses metal music and classical music, and Wagakki Band also fuses rock and Japanese culture. However, there is also "fusion" overseas. Jim Steinman blends rock and musical, and Queen blends rock and opera. Just found your channel recently and I’m enjoying your reactions. I would suggest you react to A Frozen Serenade by Lovebites. It’s even more epic than Swan Song. Salamat! 😊 Btw, the fan was brutally loud. Maybe mute your mic when you’re not talking. Just a friendly suggestion.
I love how Miyako dramatically throws her right arm after both piano pieces, and for the outro, tosses her head back too. Nice reaction to a masterpiece.
#Lovebites is the best metal band! The band's level is very high. It's not just virtuosity, but balanced, expressive, beautiful, original composition, with teamwork of incredible musicians. #Asami #Miho #Midori #Miyako #Haruna #Lovebites
Well, you touch your food even if you don't play with it, so why shouldn't you touch a piano? (Dad - joke. Sorry, just had to...🥺). Beautiful girl and beautiful piano. To my untrained ear, this doesn't stand back to other pianists I've heard play this peace🥰. She clearly is a very skilled musician. Like the song. And they are so beautiful, just like swans😊. Very well composed song, I think, and I love the classical outro. Good reaction, my dear. Get the feeling you like this one😊.
These two pieces make one set of suite which starts with Revolutionary Etude and ends with Chopin Ocean style etude. the two pieces share the same theme. Revolutionary Etude is said to be composed when Chopin was in his great desperation by defeated Polish rebels arose against Russian rule. And Swan Song is a song about death of heroes, dedication and sacrifice, honor and glory. Hence these two pieces are a suite.
The Frederic Chopin piece she plays is called the Revolutionary Etude. Classical purists say her rendition at this concert was "mediocre," but it was very well done given the circumstances (in the middle of a metal concert). A purist commenting on another reaction claimed Chopin "weeps in his grave" over her performance. I'm pretty sure he'd be more concerned over being a playable character in a Japanese video game (Eternal Sonata; the game imagines what Chopin was dreaming about in his final hours).
I'm one passionate from many years about the classic music and watch hundred and hundred of classic concert and i can affirm that her rendiction ( a part the piano sound) is more that satisfactory. This study is for the left hand and it's very difficult to play in one metal concert. The pro concert normaly plays in silent auditorium with acustic perfection! The genius of Miyako is esplicit not only in execution , but in creation of this song.
That's Lovebites for you all of their songs are infused with classical key tones it is one reason why they are loved so much by their fan base, I can't say much about the so-called wolfpack as it has been ruined by so much riff-raff. As a band grows in popularity so will it's fanbase and as the fanbase grows it will be inevitable there will be a few bad apples. You generalization of the the "so-called" wolfpack is absolutely insulting to the majority of us that support this band. I am an old school rocker, been around for awhile and think they are the best metal act we have seen in a long time. I don't really appreciate someone else that supports the band, like you, insulting the majority of it's fanbase. I really like the band and the music...but the singer just misses for me. It's a mismatch for my tastes. She's very talented, but her vocals sound more like opera than rock. Some vocalists can really make that transition like say Bruce Dickenson(Iron Maiden) or Atsumi Saiki(BandMaid). It's just my personal taste I guess. Good one Kurisutah 👍
The singer doesn't have any operatic or classic back ground. Her back ground is R&B and jazz. She was going to adopt herself to metal when she joined the band but the other members advised her not to. They didn't want to be one of these, a stereotype. They wanted to have their own taste and style. If your taste is for typical conventional metal, they are not for you.
@@tk72231968 I'm curious how you think the song works with a different style of vocal. It's built on Chopin and Dvorak, telling the story of the Revolutionary Etude (Russian occupation of Poland), which gives it an operatic feel.
@@mythsteps1 It's not the transition style, it's the voice. That's why I gave a couple of examples of singers that do the operatic rock style that I do enjoy. Her voice is just not for me. Doesn't mean she's not talented or that the band isn't really good.

It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier

Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven

You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time

You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care

Napakabait mo
Banal at maluwalhati
Hanggang sa katapusan ng oras
Lumulutang na lotus
Napakaganda mo
Banal at maluwalhati
Hanggang sa katapusan ng oras
Lumulutang na lotus
Napakaganda mo
Kantahan mo ako ng sweet song mo
Ang alamat ng sisne
Lumulutang na lotus
Napakabait mo
