You have put the connecting rods upside down. When the loco is on the track, the knuckle should be facing up and not down.

I am afraid that if that bulging was caused by Mazak rot, this is only a temporary repair. As the metal of the weight will continue to degrade.

Thanks for your reply 🙂 you could be right but I think it is probably due to them being removed from the mould to quickly.
