Hi Steven, I think Paul has said it all on this one but I must add that I do love the Crab. These locos were introduced in 1926, a Hughes LMS design built under Fowlers direction. They were rated as 5MT (mixed traffic) which is quite powerful for a small loco. Of the 104 still in service in 1962 I only saw one of them, No. 42789. I would love to have one of those Lima versions in my collection. Cheers, David.

@trainsontuesday I didn't own one before this arrived David. I initially thought it was a Hornby until I saw the Lima brand. I was even more surprised when it worked. I have seen quite a few Hornby versions on the tube, and they look great, but i never got around to buying one. This one will do fine. The switcher was what I was after though, it's way out of scale but Flieschmann were like that in the early days. Steven.

Hi Steven, Your latest purchases are very nice indeed, the Lima Crab runs extremely well and looks great for its age. The mixed freight wagons it pulled were superb especially the hand made open wagons. The Flieschmann switcher is only a few years younger than me and is in great condition although not in its origional livery someone did a good job on the repaint and detailing. The tinplate Coaches are a another great purchase they are in good condition overall and the lettering is still good.
Thanks for sharing these amazing old Locos and rolling stock. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

@paulvozman842 I bought the switcher thinking I might repaint it back to its original livery. But I quite like the paint job it has now, so I will leave it as is. The crab runs really well, i think I can tidy it up a bit. The motor runs quite well too, it might quieten down a bit more once I service it. The tin plate carriages are in good condition, I am going to try and collect a few more of the Orient Express, i have always liked the original movie. Steven.

Hi Steven, great video. I really like the Lima Crab. I think they are a nice looking model. I like the Flieschmann too, somebody has done a good paint job on it. The coaches are my favourite, you got some beauties there butty. All the best. Carl.

@carlgauntletttrains3026 It was going to a lucky dip, Carl. The photos on Marketplace didn't do the models any justice. The seller only lived 15 minutes from me, so I just drove over and handed him my money. Didn't even quibble on the price. I've still got some other stuff to show. I will do a vid soon. I am now thinking the paint job is original. It's too good to be a respray. It's done in enamel and has been applied just like a factory would have done it. Steven.
