- Jeanne Carmen returns for a second candid interview with cable TV host Skip E Lowe taped at the Silver Spoon Restaurant in Hollywood (now Connie and Ted's). Carmen discusses her friendship with Marilyn Monroe and relationships with numerous men, including Frank Sinatra, Peter Lawford, Bob Hope and Robert Kennedy.

This interviewer spoilt the whole recording with his incessant interruptions. Jeanne was so open & believable that he didn’t have to work at all hard to extract stories from her. I only wish he’d have slowed down the pace & allowed Jeanne to fully answer his questions one at a time!

Awe so good to see her again! I spent 4 days on a set with her, in a trailer as her granddaughter and my daughter filmed Jake and the Fatman. What a wonderful time I had talking with her!

I am Jeanne Carmen's niece. I still live at Paragould, Ar. I was interviewed by local papers when Autie died. We talked iften and I sure miss her😔♥️
Awe God Rest her soul. Wondering how her daughter is doing? I remember Jeanne bringing her portfolio to the set to show me with all her old time glamorous pictures of her and Marilyn Monroe and others. She was quite delightful to have a conversation with.
She's right! There is no style, glamour, class, or elegance anymore in Hollywood!

Ava Gardner said she went out of her mind when she'd come to his apartment after the break-up on occasion. She said he had a running sound system playing his singing over and over. She couldn't wait to get away. She felt he was sad and pathetic - conceited and a bastard, a lot. Two twisted people. Sex chemistry. She'd have done better staying barefoot in Alabama - but then, we would have lost one of our truly fine actresses. Ava had low esteem about her acting, but time is the test....she was a great American actress and a nice, dark exotic foil to MM's beauty.

I used to work at a mailbox place in West Hollywood in the 90s. Skip E had a box there. He would come in often, and we chatted a bit. I found out, we were both from Rockford Illinois. He even gave me a copy of his book and signed it. I think it was called the boy with the Betty Grable legs. I never read it. I lost the book in one of my many moves. But I wish I still had it. He was always at the Silver spoon restaurant with Shelley, Winters, and other legends from that era. As annoying of an interviewer as he is. He really interviewed some of the best and most interesting people. I only wish he had let them talk a little more. I guess Martin short imitated Skip E for his Jiminy Glick character.

Jeanne Carmen had a wonderful life. Then, after Marilyn died, she went to live an anonymous life, and had children, and was supposedly a good mother. RIP SkipE and Jeanne Carmen.

@@_angelofwar I don't believe her stories either about MM, and some of the ways she describes Marilyn; it does not sound like how a best friend would talk about a best friend e.g. she saw JFK or his brother screwing Marilyn doggy style or Marilyn was being passed around like a used rag to the drug lords of the Italian mafia and that she was a lousy lay and fat and flabby.
I find her intriguing & admire her love for beauty at such a age she looks great no matter what she had done

and she never bulked but just kept an even temper and answered all of his questions. I also noticed the fact that Jeanne Carmen appears to be extremely intelligent and possess great poise. Such a likable lady may she RIP.

I did a movie with Elvis called "Double Trouble" in fact I am on the cover of the DVD with Elvis. I am the guy with black hair and the guitar. There are two versions of this movie one is an illustration and the other is the one with Elvis and two guys beside him the blond being Don our drummer. I can honestly say that I did NOT get to know Elvis as intimately as Jeanne Carmen...thankfully.

Same here! Donald de Spoto who wrote an excellent biography about Marylin went even further and called her a liar. She lived in Marylinś neighbourhood and had a brief chat with her because Marylin complained about the noise which was caused by Jean Carmen and her friends! That was it!

I only wish the interviewer went in in much more depth into the wonderful stories as they go along...,IMO it skips to the next story too fast and I want all the details. No matter the interview, the subject, the time, I have never witnessed a worse interviewer. This guy stepped on every response of interest. He trashed his own interview, his own questions and made himself look like a fool; well past his interviewing prime..He missed Jeanne Carmen's best lines and reveals...and he didn't even know it. The worst part of it? He mangled what could have been a great, interesting, interview because he wasn't interested in Ms. Carson. She, however, was a class act, her outfit notwithstanding. She stayed patient and as articulate as he would let her be. Bottom line; Skip insulted all of us by using Jeanne Carson to interview a very dead Frank Sinatra. The irony being, Sinstra would not have given this inept, guy the time of day. He's an interviewer like I'm a great singer or golfer.

Was trying to locate the date of this interview, she died in Dec 2007, at the age of 77- she looked incredible at any age.

I have always read all the magazines, tabloids included and I don’t remember anything about this woman! Also, I must have read a dozen bio’s on Sinatra and I have never seen anything about her in any of them! I mean, if she saw Frank that long and had this ‘flaming’ affair and I read about a lot of other of Frank’s ‘ ladies ‘, but not her!?
