@Sailing La Brisa *_ Hi Trudy, Lee & Blondie..... Ooops, quite a bit of rot there but I know Lee and yourself will have it fixed better than it was before. Yep, the weather is changing this side of the globe as well, the sun's moved quite a bit North and the evenings are getting chilly but the European tourists just LOVE Cape Town this time of year. The Cape wine farms seem to be having bumper visitors this year too. Best regards, Robert _*
I'm sad to say that water intrusion is common in those areas. Those ports are definitely a double edged sword. The way you were talking about that new saw being added to your collection reminds me of myself. Personally I have Ryobi tools, that while are not the best brand on the market still hold their own and having one brand of tool I can keep a few battery's in rotation with close to a dozen tools and not have the battery's go bad from sitting around. WD40 will help preserve them from the salt air and high humidity on a boat. Anyway... Good luck with repairs and don't forget to enjoy your morning coffee and the company of those around you because no one is promised tomorrow. 😎
So very true! Your wisdom comes at a good time - we need to be reminded occasionally not to get too engrossed in projects. As for battery tools, we completely agree with you that it is preferable to select a brand and stay with it so the batteries are interchangeable from tool to tool.
Hey guys , why replace core when it's just going to rot again . I admire your attitude but lookout for the sharks as there are lots of them out there !
Keep up the good work, thank you, for bringing me along.
Thank you for coming along!

Sorry that you found rot, but with you experience I am sure you can repair it soon
We are thankful the rot is not pervasive and looks to be easily repairable.
@Sailing La Brisa *_ Hi, meant to ask if you guys have come across "SAILORAMA" (Justine & Robi) in your neck of the woods? _*
Sorry, no. Are they sailing in Sonora?

We hope we are taking care of the water leaks - thereby preserving the integrity of the core. Time will tell!
