Hi from Australia. I am loving watching the baby emus. We live on the edge of a small country town and just down the road from us in a huge horse paddock was an emu we called Edward. I would take the grandchildren for a walk with chopped apple to feed him and if he wasn’t there we would call out Edward and he would come running. He recently died and there was a thing on Facebook about him. He was apparently 40 years old and the whole community loved him. Neighbours next door to the paddock used to make sure he had a big dish of water and food everyday although there is a dam at the back of the paddock. They said on hot days they would hose him and he loved it. He will be so missed as so many people loved him. The funny this is that most everyone had a different name for him and he came to them all. A few years ago people were worried that he would be lonely and informed national parks but they said that they would just catch him and take him into the bush and let him go so they decieded that it would be bad for him and there would not be anyone to care for him. We don’t live in an area that there is wild emus so they decieded to leave him where he was. Apparently he escaped from an emu farm here about 20 years ago with his mate and 15 years ago she died and they thought he would die too but he lived on. The emu farm closed years ago so not there any more.
Hello Robbie and Gary, I have only commented on your channel once before. Let me say that because of you I've learned to grow in containers, I'm using both compost and compost tea, I have a little bird fountain, and I've overcome my fear of earthworms. I even look forward to seeing the little guys in my compost. ( : Following you has really brought a lot of joy and satisfaction to my life. I wish you every blessing for all you are doing.
Love the tour and all of your beautiful, fantastic ideas and all the things you do. The little emus are so cute with Zoey watching them. Thanks for all of the wonderful ideas! You and Gary have a blessed day❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
We are going to be getting in the 95 and higher heat for the nnext 2weeks 😢. Too hot for me to work outside. Thank you for this awesome garden tour. Wow Gary's greenhouse is amazing with all those plants! 😊
I’ve managed to buy some travellers tomato seeds for our next summer here in South Australia. Can wait to grow some unusual tomatoes. I haven’t taken out my tomatoes from last summer and they are still producing fruit. Such fun experimenting 😊
My ginger in pots coming up I’m excited but I haven’t harvest any since 😂👩🌾👍 but thank you for the garden tour, it’s getting nice in your garden and the birds love it 🥰👩🌾♥️👍 take care everyone
Thank you for this video! I really needed this to help set up my bird garden. What a beautiful, beautiful garden. And it sets a standard and shows how to interwine growing food and provide a safe place for the birds. I really appreciate you guys.❤
Robbie purple is one of my favorite colors. I have 4 kids each 4 years apart and they all attended the same high school. The school colors were purple so for many years I wore a lot of purple. This was a wonderful garden tour with birds, Zoe and of course the baby Emus. I enjoy all the plants and love seeing you adding a lot more flowers. Happy Gardening everyone.
If u want more flowers deadhead the waning flowers off yr geraniums & other flowers & you will get another flush of flowers - can keep doing this & have a constant bunch of flowers 😊
Garden coming together. Looks great so far. Found out I have plant zucchini earlier. Never got females and now powdery mildew. I think even though we are basically in same growing zone the humidity in Florida makes a difference. Thank you with suggestion of growing cherry tomatoes. Doing great.
Hi Robbie and Gary, I think the sunflower cuttings are the ones that grow all over here in Florida. Just a heads up: they grow very tall and spread. If you cut back too much you'll sacrifice the flowers. Been following you for years and love you ! 😎🦩🌻
Hi Cynthia, thank you so very much for the Super Thanks! And Oh Yes this is going to their Emu Food Pellets we order and get for them. Again Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
such a unique place, i wish you would do a home tour, im so curious what the area is looking, i even imagine it as you found it and theres a house and you made it into a home... please do a home tour
Hi my dear friend another great garden tour really enjoyed the video you guys are so much fun to watch and so many great things in your garden loves the beautiful countryside around your garden too and all the race containers. You’re doing a great job. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful garden with us and your little dog is super cute too.
Tried to propagate ginger from the grocery store but none took - finally got some from an Asian supermarket & it’s growing! Probably they do not irradiate them😊
Every time I watch these videos, the wheels start turning with ideas for my own garden. Exciting to see all the progress and hear your plans for each garden area! 114 next week in Phoenix Arizona 🥵
It finally stopped raining all of the time. I need to remember to use some kitty litter. You could sponge paint one side so that we can see how it looks.
What a great tour!!! Wow! Loved it & so much growing. Thanks so much. The only problem I have now is there isn’t even one bee around here. That’s disappointing. Love all the birds around & Zoe! Precious pup
Depending on what you’re trying to grow, you can hand pollinate almost anything so keep that in mind, we do it here all the time that’s why I’ve got zucchini growing now because I’ve been hand pollinating it because there hasn’t been a lot of bees. Thank You ❤️
Ginger-indigestion. Tumeric-for arthritis, gout, tummy troubles. Both are anti inflammatory and very good for you to eat and drink the juice! 😊 Yes, really it does work!
We have 6 to 7 brown headed cowbirds, and they are awful. They come to the feeders and scare the other birds off. The worst part about them is that they lay their eggs in smaller songbirds nest and destroy the eggs of the songbird. They will even kill young songbirds.
I just love your tall onions , they look so cool. I see them in a lot in videos. I want to grow some next year . Where did you buy your tomato seeds you mention in this video?
Cow birds lay their eggs in other birds nests the the baby cow bird usually pushes the other birds babies out of the nest. So Google if you don't believe.
This is Monday and we are having horrible heat and humidity! Temp is 89 but with humidity feels like 98. I can’t stand it. Started to storm but was gone in 10 minutes. I can’t keep my plants watered. They wilt within a couple of hours. UHG!!!
What was the name of that hummingbird bush you talked about in the beginning of your video I'm trying to locate one I'm in Florida but I don't know if that zone it will grow here or not?

Its wonderful you have a place for the wild birds to eat and get some water and feel safe! Not many places left for them. 😢
I love how your garden invites so many birds.
Thank you ❤

We are in a serious heat wave. Stuck at 100 plus.
We are supposed to hit 98 all week. This is not Ohio weather but the summers have been getting hotter and hotter every year.
Oh I wish you would keep the emus together, If Gary said he would make a pen that would be great.

Hi Melinda❤
Hi, I've got Mexican Sunflowers going from seeds. One is 4 ft tall!
They're nice. The cuttings are a different species of Tithonia but I have planted some seeds of the ornamental variety.

Good morning! Wow! Does Gary sell dragon fruit plants? I’d love to have one ❤
Hi. No Gary doesn't currently sell Dragonfruit plants.
Saw dragon fruit at Home Depot only the red ones - if anyone can find the yellow fruit let us know - they’re sweeter 😊

Try shade cloth 😊
Question:
Do u keep soil moist while us wait for Tumeric & ginger to sprout ?
Mine either dry out or root rot
The hummingbird just ignores my cigar plant .
He's waiting till you go I side then he goes to that flower!😊

We have cowbirds. They lay their eggs in the nests of other birds, just like the cuckoo.
Yes, they are fascinating odd birds😊 Thank You
Nice garden video. Is a tree collard a dinosaur kale ??
No totally different plants😊
Hi Robbie I planted mixed greens in a form of lettuce 🥬 would it still grow when it's like 91° and should I keep it in the shade or the sun or both???
Shade😊
