Your suggestion to mix Tamiya xf-22 and xf-49 is awesome, very good colour! Please note that KM-1 in operational aircrafts of MIG-21's in different countries differs, You probably base on DDR/NRD MIG-21UM which were in tragic conditions even in museums. In Poland KM-1 they were rather darker (except maybe F and early PF/PFM), it will be rather mix XF-19 oraz XF-53, sometimes also black/dark grey. I saw many im museums and operational units, I suspect they have that colour on photo in film due to lack of conservation (paint is simply low quality) or removing original paint, but I had admit that colour used on film sometimes happens on photos. Best Regards!
I have two of these seats in 1/48 I bought from you. I like watching this tutorial, because it is fun to see how other modellers to things, that I can add to my own way of doing things. Thank you! Slava Ukraini! Herayam Slava!
Ppl always get that checker pattern on seats wrong, as they did here. The dark color is on the majority of seat with the lighter color being in cracks. Even their reference photos show this.

Just built the 1/72 version of this. Detail was outstanding!

Nice!
Interesting way of doing this. Thank you.
Really cool.
Cool guide!! How about building a full model?
Stay tuned
Really interesting
What airbrush pressure are u using?
The compressor is set to 1.5 Bar, but on the aerograph it will be a little less
1.5 bar = 21 psi for we westerners

No, I don't want to see you paint 1/32 scale seats. They're huge.
I want to see you do it with 1/72 scale seats....😁
