Obama was an outsider who conveniently embraced the inside while Trump was, is and will be an outsider.
As for Modi, Fareed conveniently forgets Modi's track record on terrorism barring Kashmir, Manipur and one off Chhattisgarh incidents.
Inflation world over was high due to once in a century black swan event in Covid
Modi came back because voters trusted him to deliver in all circumstances - good, bad or ugly barring few exceptions where he performed under par.
His majority reduced as there was a consolidation of opposition votes and a little arrogance on his part & also the parties on the direction Indian voter will take for granted.

Zakaria is very mediocre as such. His analysis of India is extremely weak. His family was very vlose to the Indira Gandhi family abd thats jow he got into Harvard and CNN.
