Good video! Such an overlooked game, when I think it has some of the best gameplay ideas on the N64. I don't think the same about the isometric camera, though. To move the character and the world around him (or her: Bomberman has woman's voice tbh) feels interesting to me. For a game that does something similar, check PSX's Dragon Quest VII. It plays with perspective too. Also, did you notice the difference between Normal and Hard Mode?: The tutorial. Hard Mode doesn't have it. So it's like "Think" Mode and "Try Buttons and Think a lot" Mode. I consider it feels well with the bomb bridges and stun mechanics. Or a game where you could share info with friends, because of the many secrets that appear through the execution of those mechanics. It's been the only Bomberman game I've played! But I don't think there's another like this.

There were a total of ten Bomberman adventure games, one of which was a direct sequel to this one, and plays pretty much identically, but better in every regard. It's also worth noting the GBA ones were designed as sequels to the PC Engine Neutopia games, so if you counted them too that would up the number to a generous twelve.
You can skip the second phase of the ice spider boss .. when I was in middle school I was surprised that there even was a second phase cause I would beat it fast?
I finally understand why some reviewers think the gameplay doesn’t work well. Manipulating objects freely in a world that is pretty much grid-designed may not be the best idea. But I agree about the music, it does sound nice to me!

As far as I know there are no cheats for this game, there might be something to be said if you used an external cheating device, but I'm not familiar with them.
@@SoloWingFury I heard complaints about lag in the 2nd one being terrible? Also problems with ghosts grabbing the player and being annoying to shake off compared to the 1st game? Is this accurate?
Since you like the Action-Adventure-aspect of Bomberman you might wanna check out DNA - Dark Native Apostle for PS2. The guy your are playing in DNA is basically Bomberman, or at least he has the same bombing-skills like Bomberman. The game was one of Hudsons attempt to turn the formula into something more "mature," so expect some serious cringe. The Rap-song for the intro is ridiculously bad for instance. The game itself is ok, but suffers from weak cell-shading graphics. All in all DNA is a mediocre game, but interesting for a kinda sort-off Spin-off game. Might be good enough for a video or two.

This game took me forever to beat the puzzles were very tricky too pull off and never got the true ending.
Totally agree in regards to the last world, it gets stupid hard.

I prefer the direct sequel myself, but I think this is definitely a fun title so early for a system.

It's an unlockable, you need to beat the game with all gold cards to have permanent full power.

I don't play the multiplayer so I can't speak about the latter, though it only gets laggy with one super bomb from what I remember.

Second attack has some of the most robust options then, but for multiplayer only id say that it's second to Saturn Bomberman.
