I think you’re right. I’ve been thinking on one from this set. That scarecrow is definitely getting grabbed when I see it in a draft or in tonight’s prerelease.
Really liked this one, feel like every card in the deck is a big threat. FOMO and Sticktwister specially seem like they "add a lot of value" for such cheap creatures!
Imagine being a content creator during this event and being matched up against LegenVD. You know you are about to lose to a well oiled deck that goes HARD.
It’s not the most reliable way to remove counters and you wouldn’t be able to attack that turn. Glissa is still a good card so can certainly play both in one deck.
Man, overlords are so cool. But I am a little concerned about the interaction with up the beanstalk, especially from the green one, which singlehandedly gives full domain.... But of course, no worries: if they ban it four fresh uncommon wildcards, yay
I dont really get why people run liliana of the veil. I've almost exclusively ever seen it downtick them immediately die or otherwise do nothing for the rest of the game making it a 3 mana sorcery speed edict... Which sucks. Even if you DO get to uptick your disadvantaging yourself just as much as the opponent by discarding?? Like why is this card used ever
It's a way to discard useless removal spells against control while threatening an ultimate. If your opponents don't attack it, there's a chance it can take out several creatures. Even if they do take it out, it virtually gained us some life. It's also one more card type for Delirium and unlike other removal spells we can also buy it back with the new Overlord.
It gets mentioned in the first game. It’s not strictly better since it doesn’t work with Battles and can’t take out Planeswalkers. Just depends which colors you’re playing.
@@LegenVD I see, good point on not working on Battles/Planeswalkers. However, since its instant, you can flicker during opponents combat for ambush, or you can flicker EOT so it doesn't have summoning sickness during your turn. Instant speed just makes it 10x better.
I, for one, welcome our new standard overlords
Gravity falls reference, very nice.
@@King-fm8fe I think its a Simpsons reference
@@King-fm8fe I just looked it up. Apparently the original use comes from a film adaptation of War of the Worlds from 1977

@electric_dream_machine "Simpsons did it!" , South Park.
I can't believe fomo is actually in magic the gathering. That's the one mindset you should not have for reasons.
It's the entire business model, it's about time 😂
I mean, that's ONE way to taint search results for "Magic the Gathering fear of missing out".
These Overlords look ferocious. I await a Golgari delirium, but something is biting me if there’s enough. Maybe there is and I’m overthinking on it.
Feels like there’s plenty of support for it with the introduction of several artifact and enchantment creatures.

I couldn't help but notice a certain fox compainion missing from the left side in all the games
because its the preview account i think
That thumbnail is amazing!

Im obsessed with the Verge lands. They’re just so freakin cool
this is the time before / early when the great deck builders shine!! Love this, top work LVD
You'll get a serious case of FOMO if you sleep on this value pile
If you can remove counters, can you also add counters to an opponent's overlord using proliferate? 🤔
Should be able to!
makes sense
Yes, the same way you can proliferate an opponent's Battles to make them harder to flip
Little else in MTG is scarier than LVD knowing what your hand is, after that he knows what you'll play the whole game before you do ...
I read " StickTwister " as something else at first.. lol
Give em the ol' stick twist
Would it be worth it to try and make a jund version to use glissa since she lets you remove counters?

They gave the domain deck an upgrade 😭
Hopefully this pushes it over the edge into a ban bc I fucking hateee that deck
Couldn't agree more! It's been also been top dog in major events for a long time, maybe there is hope
Can't wait to mix the B Overlord with the Threshold mice, think that'll provide a lot of value
Overlords are FUN!!!!
28:43 They actually did top deck the sweeper, with ill timed explosion, they just never got to cast it lol
Cant believe there are no curses in this set...
I want to try mixing that balemurk overlord in a golgari deck so I can remove counters with glissa
In match 3 around 23:00, would impend the overlord and hope to hit delirium so you could attack the invasion twice be a better line?
any advice for dropping blue on this?
Notification squad. The cards look powerful in duskmourn for sure.
Nice!
Oooooh 😱 I just realized the overlords aren’t legends….

Liliana prevents some damage since it dies immediately as u just said. It must be attacked against aggro and is one the best cards against control.
Quick tip: Scrollshift is way better than Render Inert, and does the exact same thing on Overlords.
But not on battles.

Not really. The overlords would have summoning sickness and it doesn't transform the invasion
Not at all no
