Look how close the clouds are! I remember being a kid passing through there and we hated Trinidad. Looks better plus the Amtrak is there if you wanna travel by train 😊
That stadium was for Trinidad Catholic High School... the Tigers... As you see that school has closed... The Trinidad High School Miners play at Miner Stadium about a half mile away...
Okay you need to check some of your facts, first off that abandon field was the Catholic HS sports field as is the buildings around there. The downtown has just about dried up mainly due to the RR & mining is gone, the Pot life and homeless hanging around; it’s just the economic for most small towns throughout the US. Probably still a good place for retiree’s if you can put up with the hard core Democrats that run the place. I graduated HS in 1965 join the Navy and left, my parents live there up until 1990. It’s a nice little town but there’s nothing to do, I haven’t been back since 2015. Since internet, and a lack of something to do if your not a outside person there’s little activity around. I think it’s still a cool place and if I was still there I would be cruising on Friday & Saturday nite honking horns and playing 60’s R&R on the radio from KOMA radio. 😅😅😊😊😊
Thanks for spreading the facts, I'm just a guy that drives around and observes what these towns look like from an outsiders point of view and rely on the locals to fill in the gaps. The catholics should consider demolishing that old stadium, it smells strongly of urine and looks to be occupied by bums nowadays. Although I'm glad it was still there as I do like seeing relics from yesteryear. I found it to be way better off of a town compared to Raton across the pass although from what you're saying I guess neither place is a real good place to live these days! Thanks for Watching
These stores sell used and unfit items that supercede walmart pricing. Walmart still sell pajamas sweats and slippers cause the peeple here live in the wood cant pay taxes on wefare check or paycheck because at poverty level, you can paint a house but its a wreck inside. Houses are now rb&b cause they not fit for long term living. Citizens dont have any housing or jobs just garbage old food distributed in boxes or left at laundry peeple go door to door looking for place to stay, finally DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS distributed at motels, hotels. Ff restaurants. I will never stay in this city again
Just finished with the Lamont video and thought I'd check out your channel. Willing to give you a shot and subscribe. Good luck and great success! 💖
My grandparents lived in rural Trinidad, My dad was raised there. I love it there, so peaceful.
Hey @VibeChick74... Mine too!!... Branson... I miss the 'old' Trinidad!!
If you ever film there again, you might want to check out the State Park at Trinidad Lake. There are some great views there.
Thanks for the tip. I'm usually through there every couple years, I will check it out
@@maxadventures1 If you come into the park from the south side, you can find Sunset beach, which gives the best views of the Sangre De Cristos.

I'm actually moving to this town in about 6 months. I live in lincoln, Nebraska now
It's an interesting area with lots of outdoor activities. I think overall it's a good place to live
@@jonathanielpringlemaniii For what? Just cause it's not somewhere u care for doesn't mean it's not a place I won't like.
@@greggoryzimmerman6365i lived there for 7 years, it's full of drug addicts and is creepy. but the downtown is great

What you're saying was kinda my take on it as well. Although it did look to be the better place of the two sides of Raton Pass
I played football on this field T.C Tigers
Why they got to mention weed . They are not all weed friendly
I only come here to buy gas cheap 25 buck for some gas
Lol, when I pulled into town I literally had 1 mile remaining the day I filmed this 😅
