No doubt, this IS he best extreme aerobatics flying with digital FPV and head-tracking. So fast and precise! The chase footage is gorgeous, too. Great fun and excellent video! Congrats🎉 and thank you for the shoutout!😊
So glad you're back! Perfect music choice, beautiful footage, and I've always been envious of this flying field. Lost orientation? Look for the crop circle! Cheers
I am giddy watching this i feel like i am there. This seems like an affordable way to feel like a bird. !!!!!most erobatic head tracking ever!!!!!! love that you are back!!!
I've been watching your videos for years now and learnt so much. It's so good to see you back making content again. Sending love and happiness, Keep strong and happy flying.
That was fun. I had some good flights with mine. But the wing rock was always challenging. I gave it to a friend of mine who gave me a really good deal on the 95 inch extra. Looking forward to flying that one. You've produced some very remarkable footage with yours.
I like the mix between chase footage and aerobatics. Great flying, motivates me to fix my fpv plane faster. The talk through and fun you have make this video fun to watch!
Awesome!! I was planning to do this on my Extra. This video confirmed that it’ll be awesome!! Is it possible to leave the canopy on? I suppose it would make for better sound on the videos. Which camera and goggles are you using?
Nice to see you back and what a great video, the plane is really respomsive and with the head tracking FPV is something else but aerobatics in my opinion is all about LOS I love doing slow rolls, cuban 8, and half himulman manovers but it has to be LOS.
Those rear view shots of the Extra look so realistic. Really awesome and gives me some ideas. I had head tracking on my HK MX2 using analog FPV. I've recently converted it to digital but I don't have a head tracking unit for my DJI goggles yet. I was thinking of getting the DTQSYS head tracker, but it comes without a case. What for head tracker are you using?
This plane is so awesome! I love how nimble it is for its size! Also head tracking is sick!! I got an AtomRC Swordfish coming with DJI O3 head tracking. Cheers bud!
Fantastic, but I will install a speedybee F405 flight controller and gps, why because if somenthing goes wrong you have options like horizon mode and return to home in case of a failsafe. Nice do, or a lost of video for any reason.
Loved it. The extra 300 is my fav airframe both rc scale and full size. I love the fpv with head tracking. Ive been flying rc since 1989 off and on, anfmd many things have changed and technology developed over the years, but i cant seem to wrap my head around the tech behind fpv. Id love to get into it but im an "old dog", and we dont take to new tricks so easily. In my prime, we were placing small keychain cams on the wings with velcro, and i know the fpv is way more advanced than that.
I equipped my WotsWoot foamy biplane with an air unit and head-tracking. It's not as precise and fast as the extra, but it rolls and spins like crazy too, and you have 2 wings in your field of view😊
Really enjoyed that. You should show more fixed wing videos. Multi rotor is what it is and overhyped. Cannot beat a nice smooth aerobatic fixed wing flight with LOS views too and head tracking. Envious of the neat cut landing pad. thanks again😊
That is the most aerobatic fpv plane flying I have ever seen...I would love to try a similar flight! That and air races, combat, thermal cross-country racing, Jet formation demonstration, an fpv skydiver, speedboat racing , fpv hang glider, stabilized motocross bike, high altitude balloon. Dream it, make it, do it on camera and share.
That was some shit hot flying! Well done! FPV seems so much more satisfying on a fixed wing aircraft than a quadcopter. Great footage, too. You need to arm a couple planes with paintball guns and get some dogfight footage of you and your chase plane partner. Thanks for the video!!!
Awesome Andy. I think I need to get hd fpv and head tracking on something now, I've been meaning to do it for ages but lost momentum in my rc hobby over the last few years in favour of electric mountain biking(equally expensive hobby lol ). I just wish the price of the dji hd fpv gear would come down to my level. I wonder how hard it would be to do some fpv harriers or hovers......😁
Amazing demonstration of your acro flight skills Andy, looks like flying a full-scale Extra. Love the POV! You may want to 3d-print yourself an "aerobatic sight gauge". It's a triangle 📐, or diamond shaped post on the wingtip to help gauge 45º and vertical references to the horizon. Can be helpful when practicing hammerheads, trailsides, etc.
Nice job 👍, but it isn't the first fpv flatspin. I did it many times before and I think other people too 😉 I love to see you back again with amazing stuff!
Maaaan that looks clear enough to put a live battery gauge in the cockpit 🙌😁😁😁..... digital readout would already be cool even just from a basic battery monitor but how long till we can get some analogue dials for volts amps and airspeed 😉😁😁😁😁
Wicked airplane! Thats super cool setup. Not trying to say youre wrong about most aerobatic ever, but Ive put analog head tracking setups in a couple 48" extremeflight planes, which made for a wild ride. I havent really had enough time with them to really push them hard though, need to get them back in the air. Roll rate and responsiveness is unlike any other plane ive ever put fpv on. It definitely seems like you have a good handle on what youre doing, you should try one of the balsa arf platforms once youre ready for more. Theyre a bit more delicate but i think they give a bit of an edge over foam airframes. I also use inav in them, another thing id recommended trying out😎 awesome work man!
From 6 years ago; my aerobatic FPV on a 60" Extreme Flight with pan and tilt using old analog tech...trust me the live link was even fuzzier than this recording through the RuncamHD... I always wanted to get something higher def...maybe I'll reboot. Thanks for the inspiration Andy! First FPV flight: th-cam.com/video/4Y99b2KK1Ro/w-d-xo.html I did fly spicier later, but this vid has a rider managing the p&t and shows more aerobatics: th-cam.com/video/Nhonl9ZTaP0/w-d-xo.html Got to love the reflections in the fiberglass and monokote
This is great Andy, the most inspiring video i've seen on You Tube! You've sorted my winter project, thank you! The E-Flite Extra 300 looks amazing but ive heard the undercarage is very weak and should be replaced before the first flight. Have you experienced that issue? More excited for Santa to arrive than for many years 😅
@AndyRCchannel Hi Andy, project underway already! I've ordered a bluetooth card for my TX16S mk2 elrs but then had a thought remembering that elrs already has bluetooth. Can that Bluetooth connection be used to connect to he headtracker? Currently is doesn't show up as a option on my trainer options but I'm wondering if I need to do something to activate it? I can use the elrs bluetooth to wireless connect to my laptop of course. Any help would be much appreciated Cheers, Kev

Outstanding flight demonstrating this new technology at the hobby level!

Good to see you again. Beautiful !
Love these fixed wing head tacker setups. Awesome video Andy 😎
Welcome back Andy, great to see a video from you. Love this video, and its so fresh in FPV in so many ways. I had so much fun watching it. Cheers!
Good to see you uploading again homie! Hope all is well!
Been missing the vids!
How fun that looks! Great to see you back Andy!
Great stuff, Andy, and the head tracking makes it even more awesome. 👍I'm so glad you're back!
Thanks 👍
Absolutely loved this video so much! Thomas is so keen on doing this. Can't wait for him to see it
Me too he would be fantastic at it :-)

Wow roll! Cool setup Andy! The camera mobility genius! Beautiful!
Oh that's fantastic with the head tracker, it makes such a difference, I wonder if I could do this to my Walksnail setup. Great work Andy!
Yes if you check my live stream video my friend Phil is using walksnail on his cub with the same setup as me
love my extra 300, they hit a homerun with this model for sure, your video stand out , nice flight sir !! happy flying ~~
Nice idea. 👍
This is vista footage?
I am currently building a fpv hotliner. Let's see how fast and far you can go when it's not a foamy.
Yes, it is thanks
One of the best, glad to see you back!
YES! Andy! YES!!! I'm so glad to see you making videos again. Stay safe buddy. 🙂
Thanks, you too!
wooooooow great!! This is really amazing. I love the POV and the fact two planes were flying together
❤ that's outstanding Andy once again love the head tracking 🎉
Nice to see you back on the sticks brother! Hope you're good. Happy landings. 😊
Good you are back Andy, This makes me want to buy a FPV plane. Awesome video!
That was amazing, Andy. Watched it on my TV. Really should’ve had a sick bag at the ready LOL. 😂
😳 I haven't seen you post in forever Andy good to see it. Great video!
amazing !!! is the head tracker a DJI specific product ?
It is yes
Nice flying, loved both the aerobatics and the formation flying, thanks for sharing!
I've been meaning to ask what's the story behind the crop circle?
It's a runway. It's a circle to cater for change in wind directions
Nice to see you back and what a great video, the plane is really respomsive and with the head tracking FPV is something else but aerobatics in my opinion is all about LOS I love doing slow rolls, cuban 8, and half himulman manovers but it has to be LOS.

That looks like an absolutely amazing experience! Awesomeness
Super cool!
Great flight, brother! Welcome back!

Thanks, you too!

This was very inspiring! I will try out acro FPV now as well. Thanks.
Hell yeah Andy! Awsome build and flying.
😎👍 awesome flight thank for the ride sir.
Wow I really enjoyed watching that crazy deflections

Back on the sticks 🤩👍. That’s wonderful 😁!
Great video, thanks for sharing 👍👍
Very impressive! Nice one Andy. 👍
Fpv is awesome, great job!
Pretty amazing flying, Andy!!! 😃
What a mad airplane! It's so smooth!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Holy lordy that rolls like a quad

You can get second hand v1 goggles as low as $120. Yes I have done harriers since this video :-)
Good to see you back :) !
Very satisfying to watch, great video!
Thank you very much!
Superb job Andy! 😎👍
Very awesome flight. Now the challenge would be to do a nice tight patterned flight at lower level and record it from the side.
Amazing demonstration of your acro flight skills Andy, looks like flying a full-scale Extra. Love the POV!

Epic!
Great to see a new video 😁

Very nicely done sir

The E-Flite Extra 300 looks amazing but ive heard the undercarage is very weak and should be replaced before the first flight. Have you experienced that issue?
More excited for Santa to arrive than for many years 😅
The undercarriage is not great. I took the spare off to allow it to bend rather than snap. Maybe 50 flights in at this point
