Can We Eat All Things? (1 Timothy 4) - 119 Ministries

  • 1 Timothy 4:4 is a verse often cited to support the typical understanding that God has abolished some of His commandments, specifically in this case, the dietary instructions. This appears to be a valid claim when the verse is examined in isolation. However, as soon as we employ sound hermeneutical principles by incorporating surrounding context, we find that 1 Timothy 4:4 actually teaches us that God's dietary instructions are not abolished at all. In fact, we find that 1 Timothy 4 actually proves that we should still be keeping God's dietary instructions. This 30 minute teaching is essential to anyone still struggling with Paul's letters and his teachings on the law.

I have a New Everlasting Covenant with the many, so why would Deut. apply to a me a gentile. No salvation in a land contract. You're teaching a false gospel from 119's seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; 1st Tim. 4:1-4
My JESUS fulfilled the law and all that the prophets said about HIM. HE said HE came for that reason. But you believe the jots and titles remain. "It is finished" was a lie, if the Torah law still remains in place. You call JESUS a liar, no truth in you nor 119 ministries.
Do the sacrificial jots and titles need be followed? My bible says they are fulfilled and "HE caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease" "it is finished". Acts 10 says HE made all things created clean that was unclean. Why do you call JESUS a liar? Kill and eat.

Yes, according to the Bible every plant is given to us, but that doesn’t necessarily mean to use it for food. How many salads have you made with poison ivy leaves? Your cookbook didn’t have to explicitly tell you NOT to use certain plants because it’s understood not all are for food. Same thing for meat.

Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall.

I always wondered what difference it made to them, after all, they wouldn’t ask why I chose beef over chicken for that meal. So why did they care about the rest? I think it was there conscience trying to prod them into looking deeper.

Ps some food for thought the Book of Hebrews clearly teaches that with the chAnge of the priesthood came a chAnge in the law , if you want to be under the Law , then you need the levitical priesthood ! The Bible says nothing about a Priesthood from Judah ( guess what tribe Jesus belonged to according to the flesh?? Judah
We aren't saved by our obedience , obedience is the fruit of being saved , "the Old Covenant made nothing perfect "
We are saved by Faith alone through Grace alone , by Christ alone to the Glory of God alone according to the scripture alone
Be a Berean search the scriptures to see if these things are so

I agree with all the breaking down of scriptures and that the dietary law never changed. And yes, Paul was an Israelite but, I think word “Jewish” is out of place here. Israel would be a better replacement. I know we get caught up in that word(Jewish) these days but, the prophets knew themselves by their tribe. Paul was from the tribe of Benjamin not, Judah. But, he was under the banner of Judah(including some Levite’s) bc of the land in that day.

This is the most dangerous argument I’ve seen in the entire comment section by FAR. Jesus is the door to salvation. The gate that leads to life is certainly not dietary laws. The gate that leads to destruction is not eating pork or shellfish. Such a gross misapplication of such a fundamental doctrine throws everything you’ve said throughout this comment section into disrepute. Whether we should keep the Law of Moses or not is one thing, but implying that it has the power to save or condemn our souls is frankly counter-biblical and antichrist heresy. I hope that is not what you were saying, but it comes dangerously close. Be careful you don’t speak in a way that others may interpret your words as such.
Besides that, did you really need to go there? Does your argument really need that verse to support it, or did it just feel powerful to throw in there?

*_The Old Covenant cannot Sanctify anymore_*
The teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ were not meant to be changed. Unlike the Law of Moses or the Ten Commandments, they were given to be observed until the end of the world.
(Matthew 28:20) *“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”*
The Law of Moses was until John.
(Luke 16:16) *“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”*
The Law of Moses was for the Israelites.
(Malachi 4:4) *“Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.”*
These are God’s commandments given to Moses on the mountain and was called by God the “Law of Moses”. Just like the commandments given by God to Jesus Christ for Christians, which was called “The Law of Christ”.
(Galatians 6:2) *“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”*
The Law of Christ came from God; just like the Law of Moses.
(John 12:49-50) *“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting:whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”*
What is this “Law of Moses” given to him by God on the mountain, that has with it statutes and judgment?
(Exodus 31:18) *“And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.”*
These are the Ten Commandments written on two tables of stones with the finger of God.
(Deuteronomy 4:13) *“And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.”*
It is also called “The Covenant”, which, later, was declared the _“Old Covenant”._
(Hebrews 8:13) *“In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”*
It was the law that was changed when the priesthood was changed.
(Hebrews 7:12) *“For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.”*
Jesus Christ succeeded Moses and his priesthood.
(Hebrews 3:1-4) *“Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house.”*
In the Christian dispensation, the Law of Moses can not sanctify anymore!
(Acts 13:39) *“And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”*
      Thus, the change in Sabbath

I have a few questions... maybe you can address this in a future video:
    1) What are some laws that apply to culture and time? How do we distinguish from them? For example, Rob Skiba said in VHC last week that even Jesus couldn't follow all of God's law because some of them applied only to women. If some of the law is that specific, then couldn't some of the law also be specific to culture and time?
    2) What do you think about the vision God gave Peter in Acts 10:10-28 about eating unclean animals? God said, "do not call unclean what I've made clean." I know He was referring to Gentiles, but why use unclean animals and tell Peter to eat them? Couldn't He just have said, "hey gentiles are now my people too"?
    3) How can we be certain what is considered scripture and not since a lot of different denomination accept different manuscripts as scripture that others do not? For instance, Ethiopia accepts the book of Enoch as scripture and most of Western civilization does not. How can we be sure which is which when quoting that "all scripture is inspired...and profitable for doctrine" (2 Timothy 3:16-17)? I hear this verse being thrown into the mix every time someone wants to reinforce their point, but it doesn't quite do it for me because I could easily pick up some thing I like out of the Bible and then quote that verse, when it isn't necessarily true. Like I can say "there is no God" from Psalm 53:1 and say hey "all scripture is inspired by God"... probably a horrible example and it was meant to be extreme, but you get my point right?
    4) I noticed you going all over the Bible to support your stand, but if we study scripture as you said, using Hermeneutics, then shouldn't we explore other instances that confront the same topic? Like, Mark 7:19 from Jesus Himself and Genesis 9:3 when God Himself told Noah that "every moving thing that lives shall be food for you"? Did God change His mind here? Wouldn't He have told Noah, every living thing that moves shall be food for you, except...?
    5) Was Leviticus law given to priests or to everyone? In Leviticus 11:4 says, "The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof, it is 'ceremonially' unclean for you" so doesn't that mean that it isn't to be used in ceremony only?
These are genuine questions. I've abstained from eating pork since I learned some of this because I rather be safe than sorry, but I'm still on the fence on this subject because I am afraid to become legalistic. I don't even miss pork, I barely ate it before, that is not my motive. My motive it to not become a legalistic Jew since Jesus wasn't too fond of those (Pharisees). You said it yourself, examine and question everything. I know that I am saved by grace, but my desire to obey God is because I want to show Him I love Him. Thank you for your ministry.

The diet was never changed. But in Acts 22, Peter's dream was about the Jews who were not allowed to have dinner at the same table as a Gentile were now allowed. Meaning, the Gentiles had the same opportunity to be saved or set apart for the kingdom of heaven.

The apostle Paul warns against conscienceless men who put on a display of sanctification that is false, “forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who have faith and accurately know the truth. The reason for this is that every creation of God is fine, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is sanctified through God’s word and prayer over it.” If God’s Word declares a thing clean, it is clean, and the Christian, by giving thanks for it in prayer, accepts it as sanctified, and God counts him clean in eating.

Sanctified by his words as in Explicit instructions on holiness in Leviticus 11. Not word or prayer. Word AND prayer. Thank You God for clean foods. The Holy Spirit will not guide you to eat meats declared unclean neither will Jesús because it’s three entities in one, the Triune God. Thus, Jesus does not permit us to eat food unclean and neither does HOLY (set apart) Spirit as they would not contradict scripture.

Not all people have access to clean foods. Most poor people will die in starvation if they follow this rules. I think Acts 10 means that we should not judge people who eat unclean foods or do unclean act but still encourage them to Gods teaching. If you can afford and avoid eating unclean foods then its best but eating unclean food because you have no money to buy anything will not also make you a sinner. Jesus die for one of this reason.
For God judge the heart and not the stomach. The food we eat will not clean or defile our soul but what we put in our hearts and act in our lives.

@Julie L I understand that... I was just wondering why they targeted this verse, when none of the teachings I knew of had every used it to justify eating all foods by believers in Jesus Christ. @rickhuntling7338 literally read the rest of Acts 10, and Peter states that the vision was referring to the believers who are of gentile origin. He literally went after that vision to the Italian company in which they, and everyone there accepted messiah and was baptized. The next chapter reiterates it when Peter was challenged on why he went, that it was about not making a second class of believers out of the gentiles who trust in messiah. It was a vision from Yah that went against the tradition of the elders(this tradition was that gentiles were always unclean regardless and that those who were Israel were to stay away from them). Any believer can understand this, and you selectively ignoring scripture to prove a point is the same mindset that breeds lawlessness. Please, take your own advice

The old testament said that certain food is seen by God as abomination(see Isaiah 66:17)Those who claim that you can eat all food now can eat the mouse and the pig .......I will continue eating ONLY clean food.( see Leviticus 11) I do not think that when Jesus died on the cross he change

I have some sincere questions. Is it possible that Christ in Peters vision (Acts 10), was using unclean animals to also convey to Peter that not only were gentiles to now be considered clean, but also the food gentiles would have eaten as well? The reason I say that is that God could have used (gentile people rather than animals) in the vision. Would Paul/Peter have wanted the new converts to accept the sacrifice of Christ but be hung up on dietary restrictions? Also, why did Christ say "whatever enters a man cannot defile him", while not making an exception for unclean meats? Why isn't dietary restrictions in 10 commandments? Why are dietary laws placed in Lev. 11 right after the laws for animal sacrifices in the temple? Did it have something to do with cleanliness in that the bacteria in swines flesh would have contaminated the temple, and the priesthood would have gotten terrible diseases? I seriously would appreciate some answers to this. Thanks!

Some "feel good" churches will try to convince people, we're under a new covenant with God. There is no new covenant and His word does not change nor is meant for confusion. I stopped eating pork or other unclean foods. An invite for a meal at another person's home ensured this to me. I ate medallions (beef tenderloin wrapped in bacon). The next day I had an upset stomach and was convinced this is not something that He wants in my body.

Shalom. Thank you for your videos. They are a blessing. It seems to me that those that eat clean (I try) that the only creatures in the water that can be eaten are fish because they have fins and scales. That being the case I avoid catfish since they have no scales. But don't shrimp and lobster have both? They have fins on theirs tails and the armor that sheilds their tails, that appears segmented, couldn't they be considered scales? If God wanted to say you can only eat fish with fins and scales why did he say creatures? What else in the sea or water can we eat?
Another thing that confuses me is Matthew 15:17 "Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated? 18But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man."
It is as if he said you can eat whatever and it's ok. I still try to eat clean because of obedience to God.
    Thanks and peace to all.

shrimp and lobster are bottom feeders, unclean by nature and we can safely assume theyre unclean by god. a fish scale is very different to lobster scale. i dont know about shrimp i never liked them.
matthews verse is about jesus being asked a question about why he isnt washing his hands because dirt on hands while eating was considered by the pharisees unclean, theyre taking the clean levels to the extreme, jesus is saying it doesnt matter about such small matters.
now the main kicker is this, do you really believe Jesus a jew, God made flesh was saying 'yeh its ok eat pork' he still hasnt gone to the cross for a perfect sin offering and people think here he is advocating unclean eating. the Jews around him would be calling him out for blasphemy and Peter in Acts wouldnt say 'surely not lord' because he still knows its unclean despite people supposedly thinking jesus told peter 3 years prior its ok to eat anything. none of the mainstream reasoning makes sense

2Colossians 2: 20-23 and for context you have to start at v.16 "16Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath."
"20If you have died with Christ to the spiritual forces of the world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its regulations:
21“Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!”?
22These will all perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. 23Such restrictions indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-prescribed worship, their false humility, and their harsh treatment of the body; but they are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh."
But you are judging people by what they eat and using Leviticus 11 to do it. What was it that Jesus said to the pharisees? "You tithe the min, dill and cumin but ignore the weightier provisions of the law..." Weren't those provisions mercy, justice, and being a blessing to those who were unable to pay you back? That was a rhetorical question btw.
And you used the New American Standard version which is slightly different in what it says, without cross referencing it against the other translations. Just like you did what you told other to not do and you didn't cross reference 1Timothy 4: 2-5 with other books of the Bible.
I smell the smell of a wolf and not a sheep. I am not close enough to check your history, nor check your attitudes, which would be checking your tracks. Wolf tracks and sheep tracks are very different.
The one telling fact is I am not telling you you can't restrict your diet, but you are telling me I have to or I am sinning, which is what makes 2Colossians 2: 16-23 so very relevant. There was a time when the Jewish brethren and the Gentile brethren did wahat you were doing, and the apostles response is telling.
Acts 15: 22-29. NAS especially pay attention to v.29
22Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to select men from among them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas called Barsabbas and Silas, two leaders among the brothers, 23and sent them with this letter:
The apostles and the elders, your brothers,
To the brothers among the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia:
    Greetings.
24It has come to our attention that some went out from us without our authorization and unsettled you, troubling your minds by what they said.c 25So we all agreed to choose men to send to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to tell you in person the same things we are writing. 28It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond these essential requirements:
29You must abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.
    Farewell.
It seems to me that it is not as scary nor as complicated as you make it out to be. Let each do as their conscious commands and if a Vegan brother is offended I will eat vegan in their presence, although I really dislike the tastelessness, and give thanks to God for it.
Who are you to put these regulations on people by using carefully selected portions of scripture and not telling them the whole story? Weren't you the one who says, "Test everything"? Or did you mean, "Test everything except what I teach" instead?

I will take objection to one thing. Paul was not a Jew. Paul was a Benjamite from the tribe of Benjamin. (Romans 11:1) After the dissolution of the Northern Kingdom of Israel there were only three tribes that remained intact, Judah, Benjamin and of course the Levites who administered to the duties of the Temple and various synagogues. At the time of the Babylonian Empire all living in Judah were lumped together as from Judah or just simply Jews by the Babylonians. The tribal distinctions had become irrelevant by then, however those like Paul knew their family heritage and that is why he stated that he was from the Tribe of Benjamin. Today we refer to the Jewish religion but quite frankly it would be more proper to say the Israelite religion since it was shared by all 13 tribes from the time of Moses and by the time of Paul only the Jews, Benjamites and Levites were left and after the Cross the Levites had no more duties to perform. Those from the Tribe of Judah were the most numerous of the three so that is why then and today we refer to the remnants of the Israelites as Jews.
Good explanation and good topic on clean and unclean foods. Today it does seem that modern Christianity is far more comfortable aligning with the Pagans rather than the Jews in taking on the Pagan practices of eating unclean foods rather than following what God says.

However, because people don't understand why/ when/ how Israel did certain things, they throw their own bent /understanding onto NT scripture and easily mangle it. At the end of the day, no we don't need Israel's full history. But with a sincere seeking of HIM, his spirit will lead to all truth and a softened heart will recieve it😊.

Clean animals are grouped by 'kind' or species. It's not a specific list, but families of animals. As animals are different around the world, the idea must be universally applicable. There weren't chickens as we know chickens back then. Apart from scavenger birds, who get all or nearly all their diet from dead meat, I don't see a reason not to eat any bird, including Goose or Duck.

Hod commanded the Israelites to keep the feasts throughout their generations. Lev 23:2 says “ The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.” They are the Feasts of the Lord. The Catholic Church changed the feasts as they changed the Sabbath. The early church fathers and bishops were animtisemites. They didn’t want Judaisers attending their churches. The disciples kept the feasts. Jesus kept the feasts. Paul kept the feasts. The church kept the feasts during the days of Paul. The disciples and believers were at the feast of Pentecost in the upper room when the Holy Spirit came with tongues of fire. Pentecost is a feast that celebrates the 10 commandments being given by God. Paul wrote about keeping the feasts.

When we are told to be holy like Christ is holy, and to keep His commandments, it makes sense that if we are to be 'set apart' then we are to be different from the world. If Jesus did away with the law, then what makes us different apart from our faith? Yes that is important, but for most other things how do we differ from the world? God's laws made the Israelites set apart, so it makes sense that those laws still stand today. I was a vegetarian for most of my life, and have only recently started trying little bits of meat here and there, so these food laws never really affected me but I will not eat what the Lord has not made for food.
    Thank you for these videos.

what does this mean in Acts 10:10. 10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

Peter's vision was symbolic. It was to show him that he should not call any man (namely: uncircumcised Gentles) common or unclean. So, in reality, it had little to do with "food". Moreover, contrary to popular belief, God NEVER told Peter to eat any unclean animals. No, the entire point of the unclean animals (which represented Gentiles) was to make the clean animals (which represented Jews) common (unclean by association) in Peter's eyes, because God knew that Peter would object to eating them (the clean animals) - just as God knew that Peter would naturally balk at associating with Gentiles. That was, until God showed him this vision, right before Peter was to go and visit with uncircumcised Gentiles!

    • @NANA-fh6we
      @NANA-fh6we ปีที่แล้ว +1

Shabbat Shalom. Deuteronomy 12 is pretty easy to comprehend considering 1. YAH already established the rules in Leviticus 11. Deuteronomy is simply a run down of those. Also, the laws pertaining to diet are given again only two chapters later
As for Genesis 9:3, there is confusion, or insistence, by some believers that claim we can eat whatever we want, just as YAH said to Noach. They say that Jesus did away with the dietary commandments, and that they, like Noah, are now under grace.
It’s important to note that Noah was under grace/favor (Genesis 6:8), yet he still differentiated between clean and unclean animals (Genesis 7: 1-9, Genesis 8:20). Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation (Genesis 6:9, Genesis 7:1). This righteous and blameless man distinguished between the clean and unclean. Unlike those that YAH sets His face against (Isaiah 62: 2-5, Isaiah 66: 15-17).
Many people with this argument, stop reading after the first half of the verse. However, it’s important to mention that the verse in its entirety states that:
      * Genesis 9:3 - ESV
3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.
So, like the green plants, YAH gave Noach and his family all things. Now, are we to believe that Noach and his family and all the people before him, were eating poisonous mushrooms, poisonous berries, and poison ivy? Or should we come to the conclusion that just as Noach distinguished between the clean and unclean animals, and what was acceptable to be sacrificed, that he likewise distinguished between plants that could be consumed and plants that should not be consumed?
Furthermore, the dietary law is still present in this very verse, as well as the next verse. Noach and his family were permitted to eat every moving thing that lives. The children of Israel could eat all clean animals (Leviticus 11: 2-3, Leviticus 11:9, Leviticus 11:22, Deuteronomy 14: 4-6, Deuteronomy 14:9, Deuteronomy 14:20), however they could not eat even the clean animals that died of themselves, are found by the side of the road, or are torn by beast (Leviticus 11: 39-40, Deuteronomy 14:21). They had to be the ones to kill the animal. YAH is establishing His Law even here.
Lastly, The word translated as moving thing is רמש, “remes”, H7431.
Not one other time in the bible is remes used to describe ALL living animals. The noun [H4743 Remes] and the associated verb [rms] each occur 17 times in the Old Testament, ten times each in Genesis 1-9. The word group is distinct from both the wild [predatory] beasts and the domesticated flocks and herds.
Neither verb or noun is ever used to refer to larger wild animals or to domesticated animals. In no place is remes a catch all category for all creatures. It is one category of creature only. The division of the Hebrew terms used up to this point in Genesis reflects the nature of the animal...These animals were typically
characterized as being the prey of hunters and predatory beasts.
So, God is instructing Noah that he can go out and hunt certain animals... Remes. Interestingly enough, the animals who fall under this category, are wild cattle, antelope, deer, gazelle and ibex. These are all animals that would fall under the clean category.

    - Mark 7:18-19
    And Genesis:

      _Video 22: Triple Play! Un-twisting Mark 7_
And, as for Genesis 9? I've heard people try to explain that passage away, as if it really wasn't saying that unclean meats were part of the deal. Now, whether that's true or not makes no difference to me, because whatever's being said in Genesis was superseded in Leviticus for God's set-apart (holy) people. And, as such, that's all that really matters.
Leviticus 20:25-26 NKJV (25) You shall therefore distinguish between clean animals and unclean, between unclean birds and clean, and you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird, or by any kind of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. (26) And you shall be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.

Go back to genesis. God declares that everything he made is "good" yet he STILL said to Adam and Eve that they could only eat the fruit of trees.
The gnostics did NOT believe everything was good. In fact, they believed that the physical world was completely desolate and evil. Nothing good can come from it. Paul refuted this frequently. He is once again reminding everyone that everything is good...not evil because it is physical. And he is also reminding us that we can eat meat (something the gnostics refused to do) on ONE condition: it is received with thanksgiving. Paul then clarifies what that means: food is to be accepted if it is received with prayer AND is sanctified by the word.
It is very probable that the only bible that these believers had was the LXX copy of the Tanakh. Since I cannot find a single verse that says pork is sanctified in the Tanakh (nor a verse where God EVER says he will find this to be acceptable behavior) I am inclined to eat what the book has sanctified.

So, of course, there had to be very strict rules in place, otherwise one would be in a state of uncleanliness and profane the Holy Place/things.
Leviticus 22:3 NKJV Say to them: 'Whoever of all your descendants throughout your generations, who goes near the holy things which the children of Israel dedicate to the LORD, while he has uncleanness upon him, that person shall be cut off from My presence: I am the LORD.

Throughout the video I was thinking, "What about Peter's vision in Acts 10," and I was hoping you would speak on it. I was a bit disappointed when you began to reference it, but only the point where Peter says he has never eaten anything unclean. You didn't give this verse the same attention that you did with 2 Timothy by reading before and after that verse. Does Peter not give this response about not eating anything unclean because the voice from heaven said "Rise Peter, kill and eat" referring to the vision of all kinds of animals, reptiles, and birds. Then does God not rebuke Peter here saying, "What God has made clean do not call common."
Further, does Paul not also condem Peter for hypocrisy in Galatians for dining with Gentiles [not keeping Kosher dietary law] but then when amongst Jews keeping Kosher laws?

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink. The one who eats everything must not belittle the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted him. You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.
