@pleasantdreamscrochet haha 😂 that requires sharing my goodies!!! But I'm also excited to make with it! I've been working with the velvet mostly lately but will be kicking it into high hear here soon with the bernat and sweet snuggles lite!
Oh thank you!!! It just came after a really amazing market surprised me ♡ I'm excited for when you get to experience it too!! And thank you for being here ❤️ 💕
@jessicakent3100 oh thank you! I do currently have Two tutorials on my channel, one for my ice cream cone pattern and the other for a pair of fingerless gloves, and I also have 3 absolutely beginner tutorials for the slip knot, chain, and single, double, and half double crochet stitches.
Would you say that Baby Bear with the multi color is slightly shinier and thinner than the solid colors of baby bear? I'm noticing this. Can you confirm? XD NVM you literally say that seconds later.
I apologize ahead of time. This was actually bothering me enough that I couldn't finish watching. Chanel is pronounced "sheh-NEHLL." Short vowel (like in bell) in second syllable. Chenille is "sheh-NEEEL." Long vowel (like in peel) in second syllable.
Sorry that it effected you that much! I realize thinking back that I do pronounce it 2 different ways for the same word! When talking about chenille home slim I think I do say it as shenill but when I talk about chenille yarns I say shaneel. Weird. Sorry about that!
@Katskraftycrochetkorner Ooh... I can't! You're gonna want to smack me, but... Man, shoot... 🤣 I have no idea where the "skeen" pronunciation of skein is coming from. That's not pulling it toward German; that would be more like "shkine." It's not Italian or Spanish; that would be something like "skay-inn." I... don't know. It's very strange to me. Literally the first time I heard this pronunciation was a few years ago on YT. I've puzzled over it ever since. Anyway. Like Chanel and chenille, skein is another word that came to us through French. Here, "ei" is pronounced "ayyy" like beige or reign. Go ahead. Smack smack. I deserve it.
Altho I wouldn't know origins I totally am with you! It's pronounced skane for sure! I've been crocheting for 20 years at this point 😅 I think I pronounce chenille home slim that way bc it's like a brand, a name, and I think I heard a michaels ad say it that way. Haha
Good grief you could open your own shop now 🤣 Love what you picked up! Can't wait to see what you make with all of this!

But it's along the same lines as tomayto or toMahto (tomato), or skane or skeen (skein) 🤷♀️
