Thanks for the shout out! Seems your troops got really inspired, taking out a Tiger I with two T-34/76s at 11:02 is a rare sight indeed! 13:56 Almost there, nice one :) The ä vs a is like the v vs w for us :)
Oh did you heard that Broken Arrow is now on the Beta Test i ask you could make some vid about it i like the customization system of Broken Arrow and i would like to see how an Multiplayer Match will look like Thats would be soo nice Vulcan^^
12:55 Vulcan, i have a suspicion that you're mixing up armor penetration mechanics with Wargame/Warno. In Steel Division 2 penetration of AP/APCR rounds displayed in unit card is only up to 500m and then drops down significantly. Guns don't get a penetration bonus for close range like in Wargame, only accuracy bonus. Also, 50:00 it's not 3, it's *2* (two) T-34-76 for the cost of one Tiger. Yeah... no one is allowed to hurt the kittens.
The closer your are, the higher your penetration chance. Simple as that. Also, yes, Tigers have come down a lot in price, whilst T-34s have gone up, which was the point.
@@VulcanHDGaming >>The closer your are, the higher your penetration chance. Simple as that. Yes, that's true both for Wargame and Steel Division 2. The difference is that in SD2 the number in the unit card is the peak while in Wargame it's the baseline. I got the impression that you've mixed them up because of the way you phrased it. Apologies if i'm wrong. (Just to clarify: i do know that the resulting value is used differently) >>Tigers have come down a lot in price, whilst T-34s have gone up, which was the point. No objections here. I just pointed out that the actual price ratio is even lower than you said. Not trying to start a discussion here.
The numbers at the lower-right of the unit icons, or the unit "Strength" on their ID cards, show how much health they have. Vehicles don't have visible health bars - it's a hidden stat, but medium tanks have 10 health, light tanks and armored cars have slightly less, and heavy tanks have slightly more.
Spalling occurs when a round that is fired does not penetrate the armor of a vehicle when it hits but instead the force of the impact causes the "spalling" of the interior armor. Basically peices of the interior armor are broken off and now become shrapnel flying through the vehicles interior doing nasty damage to the crew inside. So you can imagine what a "critical" spalling would be.
That was true in 1941-42 when factories were evacuated. After that the number of radios was rising and approaching 100% (to be fair not all of them were transmitters)
I always love seeing the gerat thor mortar (600mm) one just delete entire maps. Same thing with the sturmtiger. I don't think they quite understand how explosives work. Big numbers doesn't really mean big boom always. Mainly referring to the Sturmtiger where the explosive filler of the rocket is actually more accurate to a 250lb bomb. Yet the sturmtiger does 3 times the damage and twice the radius. How does that work.
They really need to fix when a tank are side shotted, a tank that is angled technically have more effective armor. The first tiger wasnt supposed to able to get penned in that angle
SD 2 isn't a physics simulator, and armor angles are already calculated into Front/Side/Rear armor values - that's why the displayed armor value (in millimeters) doesn't refer to actual thickness of the plates, but the effective-armor-equivalent.
I think in the firs 10 mins you lost way too much tanks. You cant just throw tanks at the enemy.... In reality the Soviets could, but in the fame you just cant afford it.
7:38 "not quite sure if this is how the soviet doctrine would've done things" THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THEIR DOCTRINE WOULDVE DONE 😂. Except, more prisoners of war sent forward as bullet sponges to up those warcrimes they did
Thanks for the shout out for our new book, glad you enjoyed it and are showing it off with this tank focused deck!

That zis-2 needs a hero of the Soviet union medal. Transports, stugs, a sturmpanzer, and an elefant! About 10% of your total kills from that one unit.
"It might have cost me a lot but I made it work." Some peak Soviet attitude there lol.
Taki's armored car rush absolutely rolled me and put me on the back foot the entire game :(
I absolutely love your SD2 as well as your CoH3 videos. Please keep em coming!
Vulcan you’re so good at this game 🤣🤣I watch you for tips and to get better lol
that road, it was like the road from Kuwait City to Bagdahd, road of death
this was so fun to watch live and now even better with commentary poor spicy

It's closed beta, you can't make content about it. Sorry!
@@VulcanHDGaming Oh ok could you do some content when it is on Open Beta?
Of course :)@@jasonhunniger3979

How close was the game to actual doctrine, as written in the book?

Where do you see health bars? You were saying that you brought down an at gun to 2 health

What does "spalling" crit do?
Spalling occurs when a round that is fired does not penetrate the armor of a vehicle when it hits but instead the force of the impact causes the "spalling" of the interior armor. Basically peices of the interior armor are broken off and now become shrapnel flying through the vehicles interior doing nasty damage to the crew inside. IIRC, in terms of game mechanics "Spalling" means the critical hit caused more damage to the tank's (hidden) HP pool than normal.
Officers using signal flags because most T-34's didn't have radios
That was true in 1941-42 when factories were evacuated. After that the number of radios was rising and approaching 100% (to be fair not all of them were transmitters)

One of my fav games because they actually don't overpower the soviet army like other did, in fact the Soviets could not win ww2 without America
