Let's say if a single question of 20 marker had been there, there's a chance of getting 12-13 if you've written good but with segregation of questions into bits, the scope of getting higher marks is diminished. So the more generalised the questions are, the more chances of securing less marks. In conclusion specific and difficult questions are a way of securing good marks not the easy and generalised ones
