Your story, music artistry, and guitar work epitomize that for me. Thank you! I’m looking forward to seeing you in concert this coming November, 2019, in Detroit…got tickets! This is the performance that introduced me to Joe’s music about 3 years ago. I always loved Leonard Cohen’s poetry and melodies…and also Leonard's various performances of this song, which he himself wrote. Loved the song so much that I did a TH-cam search for covers, and Joe’s Beacon Theater version popped up. Holy moly, when I saw/heard his guitar skill, I was hooked forever! Loved his voice, too. Had never heard of Joe, but it changed my life forever!!! Been a Bonamassa fan ever since! Joe, you are the BEST!!!!!

Bird on the wire is not Cohen song. It's Neville's Brothers song . 🙄
@@karminakarminae1939 ... Leonard Cohen wrote this song in the 1960s. I remember when the song came out, as I was a college student at the time, and the song was very popular then.

What a magnificent performance of a song that only the foolish or the daring should ever attempt. I didn't think any version of this song could match Cohen's but this one does, not by outdoing the original but by infusing it with the same passion that Cohen brought to it ,

That truly is a gorgeous looking guitar!
I saw him using that Gigliotti in a bar, Smokin' Moe's, in Winter Park, probably fifteen years ago. He had just hired Bogie Bowles on drums and was auditioning Mark Epstein on bass. He ended up hiring Carmine Rojas for the bass. The tone of Mountain Time on that guitar was superb. He had a rolling case of 13 guitars, including a Chandler LectraSlide, which I have not seen him play in at least a decade. There were probably 120 of us in that bar. I bought his latest (at the time) CD, You and Me. He offered to sign it, but I just shook his hand and thanked him for the performance.

Love that Gigliotti's tone. Joe doesn't play it much anymore, sticking with his Gibsons. I think it made Mountain Time sound best, too.
Personally,I prefer the version from the original Albert Hall concert,when he segues from “India” into “Mountain Time”,on his Musicman.
