    Not that anyone is going to read this after all this time, but I watched a TH-cam video by the creator and I'm hooked. I've discovered the magic - it's very, very musical.

    I have it and it's absolutely fabulous! It's one of the best tone shapers in my arsenal! And it sounds incredibly"analog" ....it brings back the joy of fiddling with a great analog eq, you're really massaging and shifting sound with this, an absolute joy! It's no less than a genius plugin in my opinion (10x better and split eq). Don't let yourself impress by the look of the interface, it's just so easy and logical, this thing is pure magic but the best part is that it makes me "play" with sound, turning the buttons makes me smile every time, it's not complicated at all! I dear to say it's one of the best plugins ever made...... and time will tell I'm right about this....

      I agree. I love the thing. And the interface is exactly as simple or complicated as you wanna make it. It seems like Tone Projects and Hendy went out of their way to make that true. In the grand scheme of things, I find it easier to navigate than Pro-Q - esp. when you start getting into M/S and dynamic EQ'ing. It's also got a lot of presets.
      At the end of the day +I+ don't have anything else that just improves a sound as easily as Michelangelo. I find myself reaching for it in nearly every occasion where I WAS reaching for blackbox.

      @@nilespeshay1734 I also agree. I absolutely love it. If you just want analog sound you never have to open the bottom half of the interface but if you want to experiment you can do that too. This product takes analog further.

    Another great vid - I look forward to them every weekend - sad huh? As for the Michaelangelo... Give me to top half for 25 quid, and I'll consider it. Then again, I've got Museq, SPL PQ, TOMO LISA, AMEk 250, Pulsar 8200 and Massive, Rule Tec EQ1 - do I really need another EQ?

      With that collection… you’re covered. The 8200 and Massive are fantastic vibe eqs and the PQ and 250 are great for detailed stuff. 👍

    Felt I had to comment on this. I'm a huge fan of Tone Projects and have both the Unisum and Kelvin. They were both insta-buys after demo-ing them. The Unisum, in particular, just makes everything sound better. So, I was super excited when I got the word that they were releasing a new product and I already had my wallet out ready to buy.
    Your video review, which is why I'm commenting, is exactly how I felt and full marks to you both for being honest. I think yours is the only review I've seen which really tackles the "why?" aspect of the product design. This, to me, is a Frankenstein of a plugin which doesn't know what it's trying to be and falls as a result. It is the first time that Tone Projects tried to blend the "analogue emulation" world with the "digital tool" world and I hope it's the last.

    Very neat, but Elevate from Newfangled Audio would blow this thing away! And except for the distortion, McDSP's ML4000 would too! This constant talk about the true analog sound of digital plugins makes me sick! What counts is the result, period.

    Just got an ISA One Preamp with ADC card with 2 years guarantee for €535, real analog sound with real knobs and of course, it’s a Rupert Neve design and product, a little piece of a legend from a legend…..but the question is…..is it shit?

    Your criticism of this plugin is odd. This thing is amazing, but you seem to feel it’s too complicated, therefore it’s shit? Anyone worth their salt mixing music should have the wherewithal to make use of this plugin. If not, they should probably find another line of work, don’t you think? C’mon, this is not as complicated as you’re making it out to be.

      @@drefue I love the hardware....and the recreation of that is great...all the extra stuff is unnecessary in my opinion. • @drefue
      @drefue หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ whoa! I was not in anyway being critical of you. I was merely pointing out that those already involved with mixing (which is no doubt a complex process, requiring some technical acumen) should have no trouble getting around the plugins technicalities. Nothing more. I see that I may not have communicated that clearly.
