Listening to Tempest Rising songs. Looks at face of the female soldier... looks familiar. Clicks this video and sees song name 'By our Blood'. Now I know what I was thinking, Skarlet from Mortal Kombat!
I was struck with an immense nostalgia by the vocals that kick in at the start of the song. Unable to shake the feeling of familiarity, I had to scour the Internet to find it. And then it hit me. An old PS1 game called The Lost World : Jurassic Park. What're the odds? xD
This track alone is enough to get me super hyped about this game! It sets such an awesome tone and I love the industrial blend of heavy guitars and fat synths. Hyped that RTS might finally make a grand comeback! And it also makes me wanna produce music again! ❤
I love entire song and relisten like crazy, but the part from 1:45 onwards must be extended xD Brings me back to so many memories, Harkonnen music in Emperor:Battle for Dune, soundtracks from Red Alerts or RA3 Soviet battle themes, and so many other CnC songs. And I'd say its not just nostalgia, this is godtier of its own.
This track sounds like something from Red Alert, if you ask me. But considering, that Tempest Dynasty faction is formed from the remnants of Soviet Union, and it's leader is ethnical russian - it's pretty much logical to have something like this in soundtrack. Sounds great! (Well, of course it's great - it's Adam Skorupa after all!)
Now this is some good shit, better than the hopium ive been snorting the last 10 years after Generals 2 got canned and C&C 4... well, id be happier thinking it never got made.
