I remember as a kid when the guys came running and falling off the cliff i asked my mom "But why would they do that" she looked at the screen and said "Their masks dont have eye hohles"
Dragon: "This guy thinks he so cool...! You don't know what it's been like listening to him over and over! But I'll tell you one thing: He should watch his back..."
A giant Simpsons witch doctor makes loud, annoying noises and beats you with his walking stick. All while wearing sunglasses. Yep, this must be what Insomniac meant by "getting the Shemp". I sure don't want it.
This song fits very well what the level and enemies are: a total eclipse in the sky, kamikazes running mad to their end, Dr Shemp, danger... and ever it fits Trondo. I always imagined him being a bold dragon
I love so much that while I'm listening to the songs, I can read comments of people talking about the levels! Just such a cool community of Spyro fans! I'm guessing were all around the same age too, 1991 anyone?
1991 for me as well. Was an awesome Christmas when I got this, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Pokemon Blue that year. Not to mention both Banjo-Kazooie and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time came out in '98 too. Truly a great year for games. ...At least, for me it was.
Ya'll can't tell me you did not bump this when you heard it for the first time. Almost made you think you were SOOOO cool that you didn't need to watch your back..... Man, argueably my favorite song in this game
Chris Capaccio You mean those dogs in the darkness that grew in size right? Damm, when I was a kid and didn't know them, one time the lights went off. Fckn ran away from the dinning room
Bartenderer dieded nah, the monsters that grew in the darkness where in dark passage(they scared the shit out of me too when i was a kid) the dogs he meant where the ones at the first boss who body slammed you. For me the yellow monsters in alpine ridge scared me the most, their roaring and their face, only the music of the stage was needet to make me feel uneasy
I remember being a kid playing this level and got scared when the enemies would charge you because most the enemies are stationary. This game is way ahead of its time.
when i was a kid i was totally surprised and scared (i was like 5 :p) when that first enemy came screaming and running towards me of the cliff, i was like :O ahh!! wtf?!
Based on sole grooviness alone, this track is one of the best ones. The skittering beat makes it sound so fast, the bass is phenomenal and the keyboard solo rocks
"Now is the Winter of our discontent... It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... Call me Ishmael... Stately, plump buck mulligan... Call me Jonah. My Parents did... Gaily Bedight a gallant knight... Beware the Ides of March... Tyger Tyger burning bright... And I always get the Shemp..."
I would pretend that it was torilla soup, flavoured with gems! Since when u flamed the pot, a gem came out. I think??? But , i would pretend that Spyro would drink it by jumping on the pot and hes cooking by flaming it 😂❤❤
this was my favorite boss in this game other than Gnorc lol the enemies on this level were so different mothers whopping there children and them jumping off a cliff funny
I got the remaster version last night. Must say the remake music absolutely sucks and i prefer it on original music mode. Haven’t played this since i was like 4 or 5 man... takes me way back. Love the levels and remembering them when i see them hits me with wavessss of nostalgia.

All the baby mamas and Dr. Shemp’s kids attacking you lmao

***** nah... the best one is "Thank you for releasing me"
+linkieloos "He should watch his back".... Literally haha.

Heavy emphasis on "back".

Can’t wait to see how cool he is remastered
Hon3stGamer Well, his butt is giant now. It’s really uncomfortable to look at
@@superlombax1561 Yeah, Dr. Shemp is dummy thicc in Reignited.

lol your comment made me laugh so hard. I like it xD
Well actually he's more like an orange cookie monster with glasses almost!
The Shemp is nigh
This is when I learned about Stewart Copeland's genius. The drums feel and sound so good.
"He should watch his baaaack..." ~That Dragon
Dragon name is Trondo.I remember it
Trondo
That line killed me xDDDDD
“I always get the shemp” - insomniac 1998
That purple gem just Alone, at the Edge of the void...
I’m listening to this in my car with an 11” sub and holy crap it rattles the whole car. 😂
Stuart Copeland was a genius with this music.
WAH! WAH! WAH! WAH!
I could hear they screaming while I read your comment hahahahaha
These guys shouting and running to death...
i can hear his shout now aha
EeeeeAhhhhhhhhh

@@wyvern0m3g42 Oh man! POKEMON BLUE. Don't even get me started on that shit. Haha
@@BilltheFifth lol I feel the same way. To this day, Red/Blue/Yellow, and Gold/Silver/Crystal are my favorite games of all time.

Remember those freaky shaman enemies and their "mothers"??
*SMACK!!!* AIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Scary as hell for me as a kid. Nearly gave me PTSD.
The dogs in Toasty are even scarier (IMO).
Chris Capaccio They were the harder enemies but I just didn't like the screaming.

I left the level and didn't come back again for about a year.
@@TheFiercestCreatureInTheWorld same case for me but I came back in about a month or 2. We had CTR so I was good XD
This would definitely have to be one of my personal favourites from this game
Japan took this melody and ran with it XD

come on this track is SO LIT
I would LOVE to hear a 4 peice band band play this live
This is my favorite song for any of the worlds. The next favorite is Tree Tops
Those little Guys that would get smacked and run after you is all I can remember from this match
Dr. Shemp was awesome. Creepy too.

I re-played this game earlier today and completed 100% in over 3 hours. One of the best games ever.
When the chubby women smack the armoured guys and they run at you screaming and fall screaming to their deaths. Ahhhh! AHHH !
I’m surprised no one talking about the skybox I love that eclipse in the background
This track slaps like a mama
I was high when playing this back and I never got over the doctor smacking you upside the head
I’ll admit it Shemp had an awesome pair of shades. 😎
I can imagine cirque du soleil dancing to this. Damn thatd be chaos lol
My favourite boss of this game.
wait, this was a boss????I thought the only boss in the game was gnasty gnorc
Well, it was considered one, but it wasn't required to beat it like gnasty gnorc. There was a boss in each world, gnasty gnorc is just the final boss.
Mine would either be Jaques or Blowhard or Metalhead.
yeah, btw did this boss ever terrify anyone as a kid?
I think Dr.Shemp may be my favorite boss in the whole Clacic Spyro Trillogy!
Whisk that bowl, STEW!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *drops off cliff* UAHHH
The Big Mommas were my fave enemy
It is funny to see Doctor Shemp running/Jumping/Screaming after you launch fire on him :)
But why these guys gotta charge at me frame one screaming like a mad man?
Also, what's in the giant pot
I would pretend that it was torilla soup, flavoured with gems! Since when u flamed the pot, a gem came out. I think???
But , i would pretend that Spyro would drink it by jumping on the pot and hes cooking by flaming it 😂❤❤
DOOD ....... Raaa Raaa! *SMACK*
Dr. Shemp has his own TH-cam channel!
Your trolling!?
Cirque du soliel ought to dance to this ;)
Definitely one of the harder bosses in the game.
What makes him so hard? All of the bosses in the game ridiculously easy
first one roll to side torch himsecond one he spins...torch his backthird he spins with stick jump...then torch himreally simple
AfterYouKnowMe yeah i beat it on the first try. Guy was easy. Just all about knowing when he’s gonna strike and from there it’s child’s play.
@@WookieOwner Yeah all the bosses are easy, but this one is the tiniest bit harder than the rest. This one is easy but the others are jokes.
God I love the sound of that Kotobira
so fire
OOOH this was the part where that wizards go crazy!!!
Papu Papu lol
This guy thinks he's SOO COOL
you dont know whats its been like listening to him OVER and OVER
he should watch his back

this was my favorite boss in this game other than Gnorc lol the enemies on this level were so different mothers whopping there children and them jumping off a cliff funny
Are there bosses named Doctor Moe and Doctor Larry?
imagine mixing this with the final Shadow battle theme in SA2.
OHHHHHHHHHH !
Does anyone remember that giant black hole in the sky?
I think that’s an eclipse
AYYAAAAAAAAAA UGHHHHHHH
