This song shoots me straight back to age 5. Sitting on the carpet in the living room in front of one of those big boxey TVs. At the time you don't realize nearly 20 years later you'll be in even more love with the tracks. Town Square and Dark Hollow are my time machine.
Spyro! Did you see a man in blue running around here?! He's a thief, and he's stolen the dragon eggs! You've got to catch him and retrieve the stolen eggs! Run! RUN!! [wheeze] Oh, I'm a little winded...
I remember I use to call the Gnorc Toreo being chased by the bull around the fountain "Captain Hoy" and I got pissed at Captain Hoy for slapping me when I saved him from being chased by the bull. Ah, the joys of being a kid when I first played this. XD
This one feels like waking me up and want to adventure with Spyro in this sort of 'Wonderland' Town Square. Besides, this is my favorite soundtrack next to End Credits. I can't imagine how time pass by so quickly it has been 23 years ago since I played this game
I just love the offbeat vs. onbeat musical element going on in this one. This composition never gets old, even from the 10's of thousands of hours I've put into playing this game.
That sounds awesome! I remember when I was a wee lad and I was too scared to play this game so I had my parents play it. I eventually got brave enough to play it and had a blast.
Town Square sure is lively with all of these bulls running amok! But after you defeat all of the enemies and get all of the collectibles, it sure becomes a lot more quiet and peaceful. A good time to enjoy this lovely song while resting near the fountain, imagining what the place would be like if the dragons were out and about, whatever could be in the buildings, whoever lives in there, and maybe also whatever is being sold or traded.
When I was a kid, my Spyro disc was a little scratched, so Town Square never loaded for me. Spyro would just endlessly glide in the sky…The same thing happened to the Toasty level 😢
+Dracothrope101 Don't you just love dreaming about a game as a kid, and remembering it when you're older? Makes the level/soundtrack that much more nostalgic! ;)
First badass song in the game! Makes it all the more fun for this level as well! As soon as you see a bull or that thief... CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!!!
I remember listing to this for hours on end trying to figure out how to get to the dragon on top while constantly hearing Nananana! Heeheehee! Nananana!
I still have this game! Some reason the music on this level is all messed up and glitchy. Had my game for years and works great other than the music on this level o,o
Samantha Marcum Damn, that was a fast response.. lol I still own my ps1 and have the original spyro cd... Maybe i'll play it with crash bandicot or croc a little while and revive old memories as a kid.
Weird same thing happened to me, and it also wouldn't let me save 0.0 I actually tried running it through a disk repair thing (hoping that it wouldn't destroy the disk forever) and it actually fixed everything.
"He's a thief! And he's stolen a dragon egg!"
You've got to track him down and catch that egg!
@@RosheenQuynh Run Run (weaves) I'm getting a little winded
Lmao wtf it's been maybe a decade since I played this game (the original) and I could hear this PERFECTLY, the voice, the cadence, everything

A L O H A Aaah boy, same here, I remember playing this game when my mum used to go to sleep after lunch, good ol' times

Alexander Büchler Ooooh, I cannot wait to hear that again 😁
YAHEEHEEHEE~! UGH!
I hated that little bastard....
Those things infuriated me as a kid lmao
I remember I use to call the Gnorc Toreo being chased by the bull around the fountain "Captain Hoy" and I got pissed at Captain Hoy for slapping me when I saved him from being chased by the bull.
Ah, the joys of being a kid when I first played this. XD
Isn't this the level where there are bulls and toreros? Those lovely , little bulls...
"Welcome to Town Square, Spyro. Begin exploring by gliding to that area with the bulls, use the L2 and R2 buttons to get a good look."
One of the best soundtracks in the game!

Those bulls with the big nose rings & how their horns would get stuck in the ground lol

Stewart should arrange these tunes for one of his bands. It would be super interesting.
I remember going into Best Buy with my dad when I was 9 years old and playing Spyro on the giant tv screen in the game section. Good times.
That sounds awesome! I remember when I was a wee lad and I was too scared to play this game so I had my parents play it. I eventually got brave enough to play it and had a blast.
This brings back memories.

One of the best tracks i ever heard in a PS1 title.
TT_TT pizza hut demo disc loved this game second to none
"Thanks Spyro. I have the worst itch on the tip of my wing!"
Why do these songs get stuck in my head so easily?
The Groove

Stewart Copeland is a badass

My fave track from spyro ever!~
as soon as i free the first dragon, collect all the gems in the artisans world, i always run directly for this portal

Dracothrope101
What pink glasses o.o

Dracothrope101 it's 'rose-tinted' glasses, not pink
This was an awesome time to get those chickens in the first part and at the end of it before you leave I enjoyed it so many great memories
i used to love burning the sheep
I'm pretty sure everyone did at some point in their childhood 🤦🏾♂️
Same and the little trees
i thought no sheeps where harmedin this game though a few gnorcs but no sheep

CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!!!
Fun fact: This track was only used in the full release, you can only hear it in demo mode when you free the dragons.
What?
@@tatewinters5565When playing Spyro the dragon demo on the game, Crash Bandicoot warped, the track Stony Hill is used in the Town Square level.
@@benjaminrosloff4518 ohh. Interesting. Thanks!
most iconic spyro song imo
thank you for posting this soundtrack.

I'm getting a really strong EarthBound vibe from this.
This one kicks so much ass.
I hear a little bit of the Jacques music here.

Mine glitched too... But who cares, this game rocked and still rocks today!
Yeah, agreed. XD it never made my game freeze, so O still played!

Samantha Marcum yeah a lot of music on my copy is fucked up too. It's got scratches up the ass. But that's just a sign it was loved.
I made up lyrics to this song when I was a kid. :V
Hahaha
some people would say that you was a strange kid but I think that you was really cool ;)!
Stay cool!
Me and a friend made lyrics to a track from Rayman 1 ^^'

Reggae, debke and rock n roll!
This reminds me so much of cold storage from Pokemon Black and White
Spyro was and is awesome
Ohh these bulls enemies are badasssssss
Algun que sea de nuestro idioma esto es magistral🔥💥
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Kinda reminds me of "Office Talk" from Copeland's Klark Kent days..
MEBUUS At some points the bassline is definitely the same as Office Girls' Bridge.
I can hear the dudes charging at me
i dont know why but this theme reminded me of Dr Robert
I always thought this level was boring just because the name. I hope they spiced it up in the remaster and actually made it look like a Town Square.
