It seems like LDV and many low end car manufacturers are doing is trying to use the move over to electric as a way to reposition their brand more towards the mid to higher end of the market. It will be interesting to see whether the consumer agrees with it or not
@@graememills7778 Agree, there's absolutely no justification for this car to be over 100k. It should be $70k fully loaded. As such, no I don't think it will be doing well until significant price drops
Great to see a full-size EV people mover in the market finally. However Kia Carnival Platinum drive away is a bargain at $72,000. LDV BASE MODEL is $34,000 more. That’s 47% extra for an EV with inferior warranty. Tough sell!
I think the prices are for show... they sell this car for 55k in China, and apparently LDV also sell this car in NZ for 80K Nzd. Maybe Aus distros are too greedy.
how about this feature comparison at 10:07? The features are all the same, how can we work out why to pay and extra 25k for the Luxe version? The only different feature it has is worse efficiency!
Tom was you in the Lux? That is meant to have massage and reclining rear seat, looks very comfy, the price is a joke, won’t sell many of them, the ice version too model is only $70kand even that is pushing it for a ldv.
I think that's the final retail price for the oz market, the top model "luxe" costs about $130k plus on roads, the price killed me and forced me to go back to Staria or Carnival😂
Well considering the only other 7 seat full electric is tesla at $200,000. LDV are smart becoming the only one at this price to bring out a 7 seat people mover
This is more like it. But the prices🤔🫡 Why couldn’t they do this treatment to the t60 Ev? Utes are not just utility now, and that’s not just an Australian thing either.
They should have made this plug in hyrid, 100 km pure electrice range should enough for weekly family duties. Use fuel on longer road trips. That way they should be able to use just a 30wkh battery and bring the cos down to 78K mark and they should be able to sell alot more cars.
Ldv wants to become the new kia and Hyundai. Kia nearly gone bust in Oz as margins were very low and dealerships gave up the franchise ( according to mate managing kia dealership )
Tell ‘em the price son! One hundred and …….. whaaaaaaat …. Thousand dollaroos! Ah? Am I missing something? It’s not like it’s a wow, bonza car!?? It’ll be interesting how many are sold. I’ll make sure I won’t have any more kiddies.
The ID Buzz is also very inefficent and lacking in range. Also it is more expensive. (Based on info from a UK testing site). The Buzz looks bucket loads nicer than the LDV and quality of fit and finish is superior. Put 7 people in either and 30kWh/100km will be the norm.
@@waynehobbs5175 theres another vid around of an idbuzz used for tradie work and the efficiency was reasonable for what it is and doing , but a heavy brick is always going to not have the best efficiency like a tesla , no if only tesla could make a bus
Thank you for supporting Ludicrous Feed!
Really want it come to Thailand in The MG's Brand. I was waiting for full electric MPV for a long time. Thank You for your video.

Interesting times
I agree, this is expensive for an LDV. This vehicle should be priced at $70k if they want to move volume.

I'm looking forward to get one as my parents will live with us, will go and have a look at the car in the dealership.
Anyone who needs a car like this for a large family will not be able to justify the price😮 its priced itself out of the market
why is it so much more expensive in australia than in nz
So I just started looking at the MIFA. I’m torn between the petrol and electric variant. Is there any date for release for electric models?
A little more about the boot capacity would have been nice, since it's an MPV. However, thank you for a nice video 👌
More details to come in a future video when I get a longer loan 👍

only 71 thousand in nz who is trying to rip off who

Those prices, are they serious!?
The car is potentially a banger but I am worried about the price.
why does australia do not retain the same screen size used in china, is it due to local law or is it something else

Price is a joke and having someone from ldv in the car when he trying to drive it also a joke . Not very professional from ldv
Angela from Exhaust Notes is an independent journalist. She’s not from LDV

71000 for base model in nz and considering the exchange rate somebody in aus is making a bldy big mark up rip off
I hope those prices are pre production also

Would love to see how this compares to the id buzz
ID buzz I feel is more of a van if I’m not mistaken?
@@LudicrousFeed yeah kind of, but it is a people mover too in one variant, the other version as cargo van without having the 2nd 3rd rows
do we know max DC speed? (150kw???) - 195wh/km???
120kW DC | 210-220 Wh/km depending on variant
The issue with EV people movers is range on full load. The price is too high.
price is the dealers agent taking a 40000 cut cosyas only 71000 in nz
Never heard of this brand before. what is the process for getting repairs and servicing?
I think pur electric dont have services except tires & updates on cpu software.. i cud b wrong
ummm ev's do not need servicing fgs

Here’s a segment of the market that’s begging for an affordable people mover EV. As many have said this particular exact vehicle is much cheaper in NZ
hybrids are crap and dirtier than ice cars if u want a hybrid go purchase a toyoda dung heap they need the cash as they are fast going broke

Very expensive!! A used Model X would be a better choice!
Model X is a great vehicle, but not nearly as spacious inside.
Agree. Model X all the way!
Way too expensive😱
That’s fair
crap car in china too expensive in aus
