I can’t resist a good pen case! My go-tos tend to change pretty frequently; I don’t use the same supplies or pens all the time. Right now, I’ve been into putting brown inks in my fountain pens and stamping the pages with decorative rubber stamps! I totally get what you mean about brown being less harsh of an ink color than black.

Love how you keep the very essential only in your pen case. That is one beautiful pen case.

The SL bag is gorgeous! Also, I have to add that my bujo and I love brown fountain pen inks best! I will now have to look into the brown pen you have because it looks as if it would be a great everyday carry. Thank you for sharing.

I have some off-brand pencil caps that came in a set (I think 8) for just a few US dollars. They work fine, even on very sharp points. I don’t remember where I bought them but, if you’re looking for a less expensive option, something like that could work.

You should try a 2.0 mechanical pencil also know as lead holders. They use 2mm thick lead. Right now I’m using a “uni FIELD 2.0 2H” with STAEDTLER 12x2.0mm lead. I’m sure there are other choices but this one isn’t too expensive.

General’s company makes plastic pencil caps. Might be worth looking into if they have them in CA. I found them in a USA Michael’s for about $5 USD for a pack of 10 w some extras. You can also diy a pencil cover (depending on which direction you store the tip.) there’s a few options but if you store tip-down, you can DIY a long one from a boba straw. Not the most aesthetically pleasing but very functional.

Highly rec a mechanical pencil. Never have to sharpen it. Pop in a new lead of the hardness you like, pop in a new eraser and you might as well have a fresh new pencil. The look of it comes second to how comfortably it fits your hand.

I bought one of these and immediately had a pen leak in the pocket. Sigh. To say I was sad is an understatement. I was $180 sad lol.

How about make a cap of your own? I do that for many of my colored pencils. You can choose the paper you like or the masking tapes you like for its “skin”. 😊
