Kaitlin’s journalling skills are pretty impressive overall. Based on her previous videos, I can say for certain that she’s highly talented. May she continue to inspire others.
Duuuude, I love my Stalogy A6! I have been using the Hobonichi Cousin all year (HUGE fan - I converted to one after 5+ years of bullet journaling) but realized that I didn't want to carry it around with me as I put a lot of info in there. I ended up getting an A6 Stalogy to give me a journal to toss into my backpack for work or carrying around. I love having the best of both worlds -- I have my Cousin, which is really an extension of my brain (home stuff, parenting stuff, school stuff, work stuff...) and my cute little no rules A6. It is fun to have a small bullet journal!!
Important not to let work “contaminate” the happy / private place of a personal journal 📔 🐿. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Hope you are well! ✨
doing the same with my memory keeping in hobonichi weeks! it's the perfect size and i don't have to do every single thing every day. sometimes i pre-decorate, sometimes i post-decorate. sometimes i like minimal decorations, sometimes i go all out. it's super nice TN is something i considered but i like having everything in one book with it's own pretty cover
Hey! It's good to see you. Thanks for sharing what works for you and your journaling needs. I'm currently using an extra hardcover notebook lying around as an "Alternate Travelers Notebook" that I have been really enjoying. I basically am able to just fold printer paper with lines and page numbers printed out to make a 24 page insert that currently lasts about half a month. With 2 elastic bands I'm then able to keep 2 in my notebook and a handful more in my backpack. Then after I've filled them up, it takes only 15 minutes max to scan all the pages and then keep only what really matters to me the most. I feel a much better relief to know I won't be adding to my 30-some notebook accumulation in the future. 😅🙂 Hope you have a great rest of your year and enjoy the system that works best for what you need. ❣️
I’ve just bought a new moleskine expanded (as I interestingly prefer the paper) but I also use an Aspinal of London Journal and I love my pocket Paper Republic. Love your channel!
This is how I ended up in the Weeks as my personal BuJo while using A5 notebooks as my super bare-bones, traditional work BuJo. I work a lot from home and at the end of the workday, I love putting my work BuJo back on the shelf to transition to my personal life. I prefer keeping the number of notebooks I use to a minimum, but this two-book system, along with an A6 journal just for fun, is working perfectly.
Have you combined your personal journaling (gratitude etc) with the memory keeping journal in the traveler's notebook? Do you find the space provided daily is enough? It looks like what you used to write in the Stalogy was a longer daily entry. Do you ever do long form journaling as part of your daily log or as a notes/collection?
Hey! So I've changed my setup a bit since this video, I still keep my memory keeping separate from my long form journalling (I always keep this separate from my bujo), but now keep those in a passport tn and a regular tn. I find one page of the regular size inserts is perfect for how much I like to write each day so it works out really well :)
I think separating work and personal life is really healthy! Even if you love your job and work place it's good to have that mental space and hold your personal time sacred. I did the same thing with my A6 reading journal! It's now my work bullet journal/commonplace journal
Nice to see you back. I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been considering getting a journal like the small one ( 9:04) on the left hand side for drawing in. I like the proportions of the sheet, but I was wondering if it would work for sketching (if able, take a quick leak at my channel for an idea of how I’d use it). I think the A5 journal shown at 4:00 would probably be easier to draw in (because it’s bigger), but I don’t think Travel Company makes a journal in the A5 size (and I do like the smaller journal on the left for portability. Also, am I able to hold a sketch book in the A5 or A6 journal (so I can use paper that works for sketching) or do I need to use the inserts that are provided by each company? Onion paper sounds like it would work nicely for sketching, so perhaps I use that in lieu of stuffing a sketchbook inside. What paper type would you recommend for drawing/ sketching with ink (similar ink to fountain pens or technical pens)? Thanks in advance for your help. Your videos are very relaxing and enjoyable…
Hi Kaitlin, I'm happy that you're back! I hope you're feeling better after your break 😊 I've been thinking of trying out the A6 Stalogy as a bullet journal for a while too because I LOVE the paper, so it was really cool to see what it would look like! Also, I love how you've been using the weekly insert in your TN 😍
haha I don't want to derail your super cute passport setup but I must say a6 is such a fun size 🤓 Oooh yes, a TN flip through will definitely be on the list!
I was inspired by her video a lot. I think this is the good balance of functioning, aesthetic, minimal (looks clean). Very eye pleasing for me to see 🤩.
Besides the Hobonichi Cousin, are there any A5 weekly vertical planners that you or anyone here can recommend? (I used to make my own with Stalogy 365 but I don’t have as much time to do this for a while)
Moleskine have a vertical weekly over 2 pages. Sat and Sun only get half the length of the page each though. I haven't used it but did see they have a 2023 edition of it available
Nice to see you here again! Hope everything's ok I loved all the notebooks you're currently using, but I got confused about the difference between your memory keeping notebook and your bullet journal for personal life, aren't they almost the same thing? Love your videos they bring me peace ✨❤️
Thanks, happy to be back ☺ Oh yeah, so my personal bujo is kinda a memory keeper as well, but I mostly use it for planning, where my travelers notebook is for collecting all the ephemera and photos ✨
Oh you switched it up! I love it. I'm so happy you created that work/life balance you needed. Your A6 is so cute! I have about 5 notebooks I keep ditching then reusing 😬😂
Hi Kaitlin! I hope you've been doing super great :) How's your new job? Love seeing your videos as always. Btw, do you have any penpals? And would you ever do a meet and greet?
Hey! Thank you so much! The job is going really well, lots of great people and interesting projects ☺️ I don’t do penpalling atm, but you never know, I may in the future ✌🏻

They’re all lovely! Your style is beautiful. I’ve been thinking about getting a regular size camel traveler’s notebook!
Thanks Lauren!

I love mini bullet journals more than big ones. I have a couple half year A6 stalogy books and I really ought to use them!
They're so small and compact! I also love using a6 notebooks for daily journalling :)
so happy to see you back!
Thank you!!

Exactly! And it just became hard to use my journal after work because I'd have all my work tasks from the day staring at me 😅
Happy to see you again!
i did not think i needed to split work and personal journaling aswell. had a battle with high stress level and have never mixed the two since.
Nice to see you back. I hope you’re doing well.

Hmm I don't really do much sketching, but I really like to use Midori MD notebooks for hand lettering with brush pens :)

Another great video, Kaitlin! So glad you’re back :)
Glad to be back 🙃

There is the Take-a-note planner but that’s a vertical weekly spread over 4 pages
Moleskine have a vertical weekly over 2 pages. Sat and Sun only get half the length of the page each though. I haven't used it but did see they have a 2023 edition of it available
Makes sense to separate work and home life. Glad you are back. :)
Yup, its definitely been much easier to establish boundaries and use my journals 😄 Glad to be back!
Nice to see you here again! Hope everything's ok

hahaha I do that too with certain notebooks as well 🤣
Where did you get your superior labour cover? I’m in Canada as well (BC) & have been looking all over for the natural a6 cover!!!
Yes, I would also like to know!
I got mine from Wonder Pens in Toronto :)
Great line up!
Thanks Maria ☺️

More Fountain pens... please...
hahaha we'll see 👀
You know you don't need a page for day, right? Why just don't make 3 or 4 days in a page? All this empty space doesn't make sense for me.
I’ve tried multiple days on a page but I prefer to have one day per page
