In this video, Joseph Imbornone reviews the E-mini 5-minute chart using methods taught by Al Brooks. He explains possible stop order entries, always-in concepts, traders equation concepts, and discusses price action patterns. Today was a bull trading range day. One could also call it a bull reversal day.
Thanks for everyday update. ❤ Very helpful review.
Thanks for the eod review. Today I had only one trade at bar 23. When I got filled, I realized that I was fading the trend from 68.50 to 63. I thought that I have a good resistance near me. Wasn’t too greedy with my tp, just enough for the bears to touch the previous bear body. I missed the counter trend at 17.
Very good analysis. These TRs are always difficult for me as a SOM trader. So for today, 10-3-24, I expect more confusion. We have had 2 legs (maybe implied) in a TR on the daily, but this day is a H1 expect Sellers above HoY. 1st H1 usually fail and the buy above HoY is 50% of the TR. Let's have fun and be patient...
He spoke about holding one ticks in the course. At least in the scalp example section. Al said are you 90% sure you are going to target? If not close the trade.
nice
Risking 30 points for a tick is 120:1. So you don’t need to be 99.99% sure (10000:1), probably more like 99.5%
I obviously understood what you meant tho 🤓
Great as always! Can you share what kind of system you're working on? I think lots of people would be interested to know.
I will be focusing on price action reviews in these videos for now, but I do plan on sharing more about systems in the future.
Thank you so much for sharing! I wanted to ask if 34 could be considered a breakout of the bull trend line, with 36 retesting the high of 33 and an MTR occurring?
34 certainly can be a bull trend line break. It's not so much a MTR as it is a final flag reversal where the market went sideways in a tight, contracting triangle and then reversed, but you have the right idea. On a smaller time frame you can find a MTR. It doesn't matter as much what you call it as long as you understand what is happening.
