This is great information! My question after binge watching a bunch of your vids… is the profit amount. I’m not understanding how the profit you’re making on these trades are so high when they only move about 1-2 dollars ? At most I’m making around 180-200 dollars on those same moves when I’m buying contracts normally around 250-300 dollars in price. Are you simply purchasing multiple contracts to make profit in the thousands? If so, that’d make all the sense in the world to me lol bc hearing you say you’re risking maybe 100 dollars for 294 dollars in profit on a 2-3 dollar stock move just baffles me and makes me think I’m maybe doin something wrong here. The liquidity concepts apply to any strategy, it’s just making sure you understand where they are and can identify liquidity for your strategy as well!
@ScarfaceTrades First off, thanks for sharing all your knowledge for free on this platform. Ok, my question is this. I finally noticed when you say about stop losses and you say only stop out if your candle "CLOSES" above your stop loss...you're not using an automatic trigger to close then, correct? Like, that's not a setting in TradingView to close a trade only on candle close, right? So you're manually closing the position once the candle closes past your marked stop loss. If that is the case, at what point do you decide to close IF it looks like it's a monster candle that is crossing your stop loss?
Very good explanation. The strategy is more visible at the open market, or is possible to form later as well? (At 2pm for example) Just trying to understand what time it would be more "safe".
Great video as usual. Question... I trade Nas100. I understand both. Would you prefer your first 5 minute, or your premarket strategy if u had to choose one? Thanks so much.
In the fakeout example there was a candle just a few before your trigger candle that looked almost exactly the same, but you didn't take it. It even broke through support like yours, just slightly less. My question is: how did you know to hold off on that candle and wait a few for your trigger?
Good stuff brother was following along on my charts and for example, I think I did it right but SPY sell off today was the breakout of the consolidation. But its losing volume down side, so maybe its a fake out. Long wicks. I am thinking it might actually come back into the consolidation zone and make higher highs.
I cut out early this morning of a perfect A plus setup . Entry was perfect . Just got scared and closes early and it kept going and I could have made more profit
In relation to the stop loss, if the wick is not considered, can the candle close significantly above your stop loss? How can we prevent that psychologically?
16:43 I don't think it's fair to say you can 'spot' this, as a fake-out - It TWICE, appears to retest!!! (Once off the level if you had drawn a slightly upwards resistance line, and the 2nd time, off of a horizontal line) HOW would you know, in this case?
ive been studying your videos for a while and i understand everything, the inly question i have is can you u implement this information ANYTIME, on any forex pair for an example? i just cant do the same schedule as you.
Q: At around 15:52, the AAPL example, how many option positions were taken to get the $5k profit. Also is this a swing trade position since the 1hr time frame is being used?
Do you actually do binary option trading (like pocket option), because it would be nice, if you can also do tutorial on these for more in depth for profitablity
A simple way to mark support and resistance on any chart, in your entry timeframe- reset your chart then zoom out it 4 times and then mark support and resistances. Your chart should have 300-400 candle data when zoomed out. Also consider marking psychological level, previous day, week high, low, close. Hope it helps. Happy trading.
Did you trade tesla today? 5 minutes strategy didn’t work for me today😢. Could you please explain why this happened? Would be great if you could explain this. Thank you
@ScarfaceTrades Hi Toni, I have hard time understanding how you properly draw a trend line. Can you explain a little more why you would enter a long position when you draw "down" trend line?
If it breaks the trendline of the down trend or up trend that usually lets you know that it wants to go the opposite way of that down or up trend if that makes sense . If it breaks that down trendline it’s a indication that it wants to go up and vice versa
I learned a lot from your videos specially the mistake I was making. I am interested to join your group got some question let me know when can we discuss them.
In your first eg., How do you set your stop loss to trigger based on the close or the body of the candle? I often get wicked out of my stop loss only for the price continue in my direction. It gets frustrating!
Simple, because if you do it you can incur into a bigger loss or it can go back to your tp again. In summary: risk gambling, it is not everything said by him.
Use daily or 4hr candle to evaluate the price action. Then wait for the change of market structure in the expected area of POINT OF INTEREST. Then you can shift from 4hr to 1hr or 30mins,,, to enter the trade. But always wait for the LIQUIDITY SWEEP to avoid being stopped out. I hope this helps....
Two videos ago (I Made My First $100k Using This Simple Strategy) at the 15:20 mark you said there was no displacement occurring, but I didn't understand exactly what you were saying. Do you have a video on displacement or can you do one explaining displacement in more detail? I feel it's vitally important to understand this concept. Thanks in advance.
I will be going more into depth on the 5 min orb in next weeks video with more examples and combining it with the market structure and liquidity video I made today and last week. Next week will be very in-depth on that strategy and I will answer this question there!
If I missed it, can someone tell me where he said how to anticipate a fakeout? I only caught the part where he pointed out that a fakeout had occurred.
Around 16:40 i am complaining that this can't really be 'spotted' coz it DOES re-test.... TWICE in fact... Maybe it has to be a very clean, strict retest to be considered legit...
Unfortunately your examples of the fake out liquidity in both the fake out only example and the following example where you combine all 3 can really only be identified in retrospect. There was nothing in your explanation that actually demonstrated a clear difference when the price action pulled back to the S/R level in real time that would stop you entering the fake out trade. The Price action showed a distinct break through the S/R level and a pull back to the S/R level. As you state this is the point where you would enter the trade.. So my question is... what stopped you from taking the fakeout trades??
When you understand where liquidity sits and where the HIGHEST probability of trade to go towards is. You’ll hold longer because it won’t make sense being faked out by small moves. This comes with experience of course, but the more you can learn about how structure and liquidity combine with your strategy you’ll notice you will be able to hold longer!
Bro the simplest and the only way to hold your trades longer is to sacrifice your winrate.. Anything other this is stupid... Even if you hold your trades all the way up to the liquidity, you still have to sacrifice your winrate
@@ElisaCarvajal-h2dusually same week expiry, he even plays 0DTE but that is because he is familiar with the Greeks. The only time he will buy next weeks cons is if he sees a A+ swing setup
In principle this is correct but you didn't actually make the difference between a fakeout and a breakout all that clear in terms of spotting it early. You're always showing these entries that are based on unfounded principles. You have no reason to take the first five minutes as a support and resistance. It could be a different time frame. I could be purely structure based. Five minutes means nothing. This fails most mornings on most stocks. Sometimes it works. It never, ever, works on indices if you're trading options or futures. It seems the conclusion is that you should do your best to identify a structure and then not take the break but rather wait for a retest on a breaking structure. Most of your entries are FVG retests or right shoulder entry. We could just describe your aproach as don't enter before the retest is obvious and if it fails the asset will move in the opposite direction and therefore you should wait for a retest of a newly formed support or resistance level. Everyone trades some version of this unless they're completely uninformed.
This morning I was using the 5 min ORB to trade SPY. After it formed it never came back to retest it until after lunch, my question to you is would you have taken the trade that late in the day? and do you ever trade off the 15 minute ORB, or the 30? Thanks for all you do 🙏
