Looks pretty nice man, good job! I like the imposing proportions, although one nice addition might be putting stairs in so you don't get so tired jumping up to the next floor! :) Overall awesome castle.
some small suggestions- put tiles in between those blocks you have on the roof and it will look nicer. Put tiles on your stairs so you don't need to jump. Other than that, great castle!
Ah, I think I see! Thanks! I build fireplaces a lot using nether rack but I never use anything flammable around it. It is cool how the author/creator has it look like wood is in the fireplace.

A lot of people don't even have a clue where to start :D I'm attempting now, but I don't think I have a reason to use INVedit of any kind... I have a crapload of cobblestone, too lol.
Omg. The whole the only thing I could think was, "Why are there no stairs?!?! Where are the stairs?!?!? And nice castle though. I like how the over hanging parts make the walls darker. And I love building giants castles to have a little farm on the top lol.
@AndrewB411 You do know that you can create compact stairs so you wouldn't have to do any jumping right? Place cobblestone or wood in Top left center left bottom left center bottom center bottom right on a work bench. It makes steep steps that you can use to go up 1 block without jumping. Good for compact staircases inside buildings.
Dude I'm building a castle too on survival but it's on an island that I'm also building with resources I mined (it's a lot of sand and gravel to gather). Island castle time!

Not really, I just googled American castles and I got a full list the castles in the US along with pictures they weren't really castles and certainly not build for defence. They were more the manor houses of the time after of Norman castles. I'll admit some of them were more like castles like Berkeley Castle, West Virginia but most were more like Carey Mansion in Newport, which isn't really a proper castle. Castles that I was talking about like Conwy Castle, Wales were build for defence.

@yelloyo well in minecraft nothing is lopsided. it just cant be because everything is a perfect 1 meter X 1 meter X 1 meter cube, and the human mind finds things that are symetrical to be more attractive, and if your so sick of symetrical castles in minecraft than make one!
@tim1133 But castles deserve a more 'rustic' texture... these monsters were built literal centuries ago and those that stand the test of time aren't too "smooth"... In my opinion smooth stone looks almost too... 'refined' for a castle...

Kudos to you. I am currently mining for my own castle Im thinking of 200 blocks length and width. 100 tall.
