18" is a bit short for my preferences even though I have a thinner neck. The only way I could rock an 18" chain is with a small pendant on it so there is a little bit of drop.
I have a 16 inch chain and 18 it fits me fine, it all depends on if your neck is fat or thin you know, I would say take a shoe string and measure the length you want and test that length at home before u go make a purchase, that way you know the length you want
I have the 4mm flat curb and imo the 18inch is perfect for being active. I work out with it, play soccer in it, and sleep with it and forget I even have it on. Perfect for everyday but not so much for trying to flex the gold around your neck. I have the 5mm 24 inch rose gold rope for that. Shop Jacoje!

imo the 18" and (10 years back) 30"+ chains are fad lengths. In between is where 10 years from now, you'll still be able to wear it, look good & and not feel like a clown.

from my experience/opinion the 18" is too short for a guy. I'm 6'2" and a 18" will stay tucked under my shirt naturally because its so short. for a simple look with a simple small pendant 20" works well though. Even at 20" without a pendant it tends to get tucked under my shirt but if you're a smaller guy like 5'8" and skinny then a 18" will probably fit like a 20".
Short length chains are really uncomfortable. I had a 20” one and that was too short for me. I had a 28” or 30” chain before but it was too long. Would constantly get tangled with my other chains. Now I have a medium length chain, it’s long enough to go over my head but not long enough to get tangled or risk it falling off during swimming. Perfect length. Took a lot a trial an error to get the right length.

Bigger taller and heavier people should go with a longer chain I think. For me 24 and 26 inches is perfect the tight 18 inch is just too short for me, but other people can pull that look off and it looks great.

24 is what’s in style rn and it’s perfect if you get 3mm up. Plus with a pendant it look even better. I have a solid 18k chain and pendant and I get compliments at least once a week because most ppl don’t see how nice 18k really looks. So id advice everyone to get 18k if their looking for a chain.

18 inches looks better than 20 inches only if your chain is thick. If your chain is under 4mm then its better to be at 20. 4.5mm and up is thick enough it can look like a great solitaire chain at 18 inches.
