Man, I still remember that last Turbo episode when the old team left, i was bummed out for weeks. Good thing it came as a surprise. If i had seen this video it would have been even worse :D
All due respect to the latest few series, I'm sad that they haven't had the fanbase or the the pull to make a movie like this tied directly to the seasons like they did with this.
@Theme Park Steve Haim Saban being greedy, and not paying the original Rangers a remotely respectable sum, is what killed the momentum for Power Rangers. I don't think I'm the only one who stopped watching the show shortly after Jason, Trini, and Zack left the group. The same thing happened to American Gladiators, when the top 4 Gladiators wanted to get paid more, but were shown the door instead.

Catherine Sutherland tried out for the role of Dulcia in "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie," but the producers felt she was too young for the part.
They must've seen something special in her in the way that the very same producers brought her on to play Kat Hillard in Season 3.
Catherine Sutherland is wearing a sleeveless flesh colored wet suit under her shirt and shorts while in the water because it's so cold. I had no idea it was cold water back then.
We need to see the 3 hour turbo movie now

If I had seen this interview on Fox Kids when I was a kid I probably wouldn’t have been so horrified when they replaced my rangers so suddenly.
Right? I watch Fox Kids growing up but I don’t remember them doing this segment during commercial breaks or in between shows.
It was a special half hour show on Saturdays.

It was deleted. Although the funny thing is if you look on the back of the original VHS from 1997, There is a picture of Kat with a Flame thrower and its said that was during the alligator scene.
josh storms i still have the vhs and kept skimming through the movie for that exact scene and felt like I’ve been screwed

Maybe it was for the best that the alligator got cut. The location was a standin for Africa so it should’ve been a crocodile. They made that mistake in Temple of Doom too.

As much as I appreciated Jason David frank being apart of my childhood. I think being in power Rangers for so long hurt his career. He said he wanted to be like brad pit. And I think he had the potential to when his first season started up on the show. He should have just left after the power rangers defeated him. I’m sure the movie deals and agents would have started rolling in due to the hype. But what do I know I was only 4 years old
