Yeah, that's the main problem with Tappei and others' writing style of light novels: they put in the short stories or EX novels too many important informations. Okay, most believable theory is that Al is an alternate Subaru brought to the world because Satella is just dragging Flugel's alternate-reality selves for her ends. Al and Subaru have alot of paralels but never quite align. A possible explanation of this short is that Al used his Authority to test Subaru, his ability sets short loops at will, to himself or others. If he makes himself the looper he can regularly test everyone around him, and he'd run into subaru's relationship with Beatrice. And since Beako is strong enough to act as a Great Spirit he'd take her very seriously.
I used to believe this was likely, but, then why would Al be trying so hard to kill Suburu in the latest volume? Is he trying to commit suicide in the most difficult and round about way possible?
Technically it seems to be canon for the anime, now it will be complicated if they are going to fit everything like that in the future, as it could end up creating a huge mess.
To all the people saying this is not that big of a relevation, I don't know what else to say to you other than that you lack reading comprehension skills. Because it's the same as saying that Emilia saving Subaru in the 1st loop is not that relevant. Like, what do you mean it's not relevant? This is the basis of their whole relationship and character dynamics. Since there are probably anime-onlys here I won't spoil anything from the novel. But let me just say that many lines of dialogue between Subaru and Al, what Subaru thinks of Al and many other things Al himself does to help Subaru in future arcs make ZERO SENSE without this revelation. Yes, it wasn't really explored in the plot itself YET. But saying that it's not that relevant when it directly has a major impact on all of Subaru's and Al's character interactions either shows that you lack reading comprehension skills or that you don't really care for Subaru's and Al's interactions. And if it's the latter, then okay, I don't blame you, liking or disliking characters is subjective. But don't be so surprised that people who do care very much about Al's significance in the story are mad that they did him so dirty.
@lordtouchme77 Let's be real. The fact they did the reveal in break time makes the possibility of them doing it in anime MUCH, MUCH lower. Because if they do, they will either have to pretend that Subaru already knew it, which will confuse so many people, or they will have to retcon this break time completely. I don't know about you, but for me both options seem unlikely. Believe me, I too thought for sure that they will do this reveal justice. But the break time made this thought seem like coping now. The scene in break time itself is great, I love it. I just don't understand. The first episode was 1 hour and 30 minutes long, what could possibly be the reason for them to decide not to include the scene in the anime but leave it or make it specifically for break time. And it's not overreacting when this reveal was considered one of the most anticipated ones for community, especially because of how relevant Al is in the novels now. Of course, people are gonna be disappointed, mad even. I can only hope (cope) they are gonna fix it somehow.
@@ybaBeulB to be fair its season 1 cut content so, they cant put a lot of detail yet they still put it rn so ( even its late but better than left it untouched so it will make the future seem no sense at all) , I am positive they wanna fix it since re zero because more famous than before with the season 3
weak prove that the conversation happened. person A speaks person B says: xy dialect, strange (in clear response to person A) person C says: she is from xy, they all speak like that. you can make statment C even without knowing what the dialect is called/where the perceived origin of the dialect of B is
The problem isn't that they drop lore in break time, the problem is that Crunchyroll doesn't officially translate it I'll have to torrent those just to catch up

Didn't he just use his power...he has a pretty crazy way to just convince one person. Well for the explanation on this short ending. Everything is always canon. *Specially* the spin-offs!
I mean they can still explain this idea if arc 7/8 got adapted, im pretty sure they can fits it in the anime somehow no need to be overreacting 😒
@@ybaBeulB to be fair its season 1 cut content so, they cant put a lot of detail yet they still put it rn so ( even its late but better than left it untouched so it will make the future seem no sense at all) , I am positive they wanna fix it since re zero because more famous than before with the season 3
weak prove that the conversation happened.
person A speaks
person B says: xy dialect, strange (in clear response to person A)
person C says: she is from xy, they all speak like that.
you can make statment C even without knowing what the dialect is called/where the perceived origin of the dialect of B is
saw the title and istg if this really is anime only ima be mad
If the info is in the novel I'll be chill
oh it's just this, ok
please, i beg you
Al Debber On
Wait, which other sites?. The one i got don't upload shorts?.
well, at least they made something about Al. if thye had to warp things in s3 to justify not talking about this connection i wouldnt have liked it.
Break Time is a must watch already anyway. But this is gonna confuse anime onlies so so much lmao.
As someone who follows the confusing and hidden lore of Nier, this casually hidden lore drop is just an average Monday.
Lol true
At 7:15, what lore bombs did tappei drop on random merchandises?
The problem isn't that they drop lore in break time, the problem is that Crunchyroll doesn't officially translate it
I'll have to torrent those just to catch up
Tappei turns lore into a weird scavenger hunt. It's as endearing as it is annoying.
Damn that "i know that, all too well" just hit me
@Jakez123 If you watch the Al IF Story from Re:ZERO Lost in Memories game, Then you know Beatrice interacted with Al before, I think the if stories there aren't cannon most of the time, But what if Al IF Is?
At 0:47, so it is ashamed that in the 3 minute short, we don’t also get pristilla’s reactions and information that was present in pristilla’s comments from the carriage scene like the re:zero world being flat, how there are waterfalls at every side of the re:zero world, and how there are also other people that claim to be from beyond the edges of the world, am I correct?
I don't think it's as big of a deal as most people are making it out to be honestly
Classic Re Zero lore drop, always not in the main story line 🗣️🗣️🔊🔊🔥🔥
All of these random hints that tappei is dropping is either foreshadowing or tappei gaslighting the fuck out of us
At 8:39, so the information where subaru beats women is just in the GREED:If web-novel and light-novel am I correct?
Wait, so we ain’t getting a reveal in the anime?
Most likely or if we'll get it it will be in S4
@ s4 so arc 7?
@@zaimrana2746 Yeah
@@RandomCultistsuch a bummer
Since this scene takes place in arc 5 instead of arc 3, are they retconning it to where it happens in arc 5?
At 8:39, I believe the lightnovel and the webnovel for GREED:if dont contain much differences, so I think both the webnovel and lightnovel contains extra lore and subaru beating women, am I correct?
I think “Al is Subaru” is a terrible theory.
I thought, it was obvious... Oh well.
Pay2win info that Subaru beats women
to be honest... Echidna was gaslighting him and Subaru just... snapped at that moment, and she was happy that she was able to help him... "let off steam". It's a very fucked up situation.
Peak[havent watched the vid yet]
does anyone know where I can read the light novels or manga online??
Witch cult translations iirc, arc 5 is the start of season 3 btw
Could be worst. Yoko taro is out here putting nier lore in fucking japanese musicals and screen plays. Like CRITICAL lore lmao
al is flugel and subaru is al, theres a holy trinity of return by something, with al's ol shmack and subarus return by death, and whatever flugel has that makes him important in the story.
Alt Sub after Rem died?!
Wich episode?
So al is subaru?
Al is probably a subaru, but not our subaru. if you know what i mean.
@@doublehit9165 like in what if story?
@@Overgods679 yes
U know 😂
I Miss this moments
Nostalgia feelings like when u talk s2 re zero
Peak
Ain't no way Al = subaru 💀?
I think he's a failed copy of Subaru.
Am i the only one who thinks that Al was the one who flooded part of the city in Arc 5 instead of Carpella?
Pretty sure she literally says she didn't do it and he was mysteriously missing during that time
Yes he did it
Al is subsru's dad?
No
No
Love your content ❤❤❤❤
Jakez is the dude
hiiiii
AL:"joder me revelo?"
i really dont care
Didn't he just use his power...he has a pretty crazy way to just convince one person. Well for the explanation on this short ending.
Like in this season when they want to liberate the city hall it's kind of weird that everyone just agreed to Al splitting up and Subaru face like what is going on here. Al have this power of talk no jutsu convincing people to agree with him huh.
Its nothing new and its common that anime is missing stuff or is changed it so plp search it in the manga or side stuff. Like FMA and FMA brotherhood. It would be nice that we stop posting missleading clickbaits. Most plp dont even watch re zero and posting shit and hate stuff about it.
My theory:
Al refers to ai. He already calculated using his ai brain, that the name is Beako and that only Subaru is allowed to use it. He will becomee Ciel-like who is connected to Rimuru's soul
¿
I guess spoiler warning for anime onlys of ReZero is unnecessary, they're all getting cut off to sell as exclusive or put in a random short bs animation.
They all don't give af about story cohesion. No wonder people are confused. I loved this story but this is infuriating.
It's about time everyone admits that re zero isn't "peak"
It's a just another isekai with a little bit of originality and tone of wasted potential
Keep coping
