- Columnist Peter Hitchens predicts that the handling of the coronavirus pandemic and Brexit will lead to a "political crisis" in the "not too distant future".
Speaking with talkRADIO's Mike Graham, the journalist called for the future country to be run by "people who love the country and care about it and know about it."
"We should try and get into politics the superior type of person, people who actually understand how life is lived, who are genuinely knowledgeable and intelligent rather than this ridiculous class of ambitious ex-special advisers climbing to the top."
Forcing people to stay home ...scaring people ....shutting down buisnesses .....makes people stressed and ill.
It's all very depressing...risk to reward ratio does not make sense...

I think it was the sense of engaging with my neighbours, that sense of community at the time, and I guess for many of us, it was almost like an emotional release, banging our pots, hollering out loud - a human primal release. I think I went for 4 or 5 weeks, and then I started watching the dancing nurses, tik tok videos... watched the TH-cam clips of empty hospitals...(before TH-cam censored them)...and then it started to dawn on me that something very sinister was going on. But hey ho... at least I never bought into saint captain Tom and saint rashford crap haha.
I walked pass two post offices, a queue out on to the pavement, elderly people waiting in the rain for 5 minutes just to get in. Damp cold weather.

Partner works on a mental health ward. 7 patients contracted the virus. Only one was sick with flu like symptoms. Three slept a lot. The rest were asymptomatic. They were all counted as covid hospitalised patients.
AND just under half of ALL hospitals, public and private have reported they have had ZERO covid patients EVER.
A neighbour was hospitalised, was deemed a Covid contact, sent home to self isolate. I saw the person out during this. The person was never sick, but they were and are a stat' on someone's database. 🤔
The kids are sitting freezing in the schools. The windows and doors are kept open. Yet in care homes they not allowed to open the windows. Scam demic.

@gossip with gert I went to school in a country where we didn't even have windows in our makeshift classes. The school was often vandalised so they didn't see the point of replacing windows that were going to be thrown in again. When I tell my son that we had to huddle on one side of the class because there were no windows, he thinks it's funny. We never got sick despite the fact that it was freezing. People don't seem to understand that germs breed better in warm, moist environments.
This only ends when we realise its never meant to end. We must not comply with anything these psychopaths are telling us to do.
I'm afraid people are just to stupid, whatever semblance of a society we had left is well and truly fucked now.

Actually , I believe Talk Radio are one of the few voices speaking out against this madness, and raising awareness of the fact this is all an agenda. They should be commended.

The reduction in the number of available beds in the NHS over the last 20 to 30 years has led to huge numbers of elderly patients suffering from what I class as nothing less than abuse and their basic human rights being denied to them!

Has anyone realized yet that we’re in a second flu season? Flu season is October to March and on average we have 17K flu deaths but we also have 30K pneumonia deaths each season. Since Covid started we have categorized all deaths involving Covid as Covid deaths, we have virtually no flu deaths or pneumonia deaths, yet we obsessively compare the total Covid deaths only against flu deaths ignoring things like pneumonia.
Normally we start the count of flu deaths for each season, yet for Covid we are continuing the count so the death count is now huge compared to a single flu season, but we are now in another flu season, why didn’t we restart the count?

My hospital has gone from 675 beds to 250 over 5 yrs, we are full most of the year any every day regardless of this virus, we battle for beds and patients surgery is cancelled daily.
The NHS has been underfunded and ruined for years, so why now are the government so intent on saving the NHS, they’re wanting to get rid of it!

I haven't had Covid, nor has anybody in my family. But I have now been waiting for over a year for an operation, and both myself and my brother have been made redundant from our jobs in the past 6 months...As Morgan Freeman said back in March: "More people will be made bankrupt by Covid than die from it,"....

As a teenager, I will clarify. Teachers are talking about how there are huge numbers of kids testing positive. That’s not true. Large numbers of kids are off because they have been told to isolate because you have been in contact with the class mate. I go to a school in Glasgow, it is now law that kids can’t turn around to talk to someone behind us because we may pass it on! In school, being in contact with someone means talking to then for a few minutes or tutching the same surface.

This feeble government has spent millions on Nightingale Hospitals, yet they have never been used, my son is a front line nurse, he hasn't seen any covid patients since July, and he says that one reason they can't use them is they haven't got the staff, though they do have PPE, plus all the equipment needed. I know it’s a horrible fact of life but I would ask people to reflect on how many funerals they know of this year compared to last year.
Yeah you would notice extra funerals in a real pandemic crematoriums would be running 24hrs aday
@@paulhollins6127 I've lived opposite a funeral home for 35 years and I've been taking notice over the last 9 or 10 months and It's been no busier than usual, the road that separates us is the main route to a crematorium about a mile away; and there hasn't been a constant stream of funerals passing by my front window....

You're right, Gail - I've lost three family members this year, but NOT from Covid, one cancer, one Motor Neurone disease and a heart attack.
I don't personally know of anyone else who has lost a loved one true to Covid, or even where Covid was a contributory factor.
Scare tactics are controlling us.
There are no extra funerals because there are no excess deaths.
Talk Sport has to be the most based Main Stream Media outlet in the UK. Virtually the only mainstream thing I am able to bare watching these days. Respect to you but pls keep pushing the boundaries as much as possible in terms of things you can and can't talk about. 👍
They are seeing how far they can push us and telling us Christmas is cancelled is the big test.
My son was sent home a month ago in hull due to someone getting infected. His whole year was sent home. He still remains at home and likely not go back till middle of January. I’m so angry at the system. His mum tested positive and is currently off work but she has no symptoms. And get this. Her work doesn’t want her back till she tests negative. Even tho it’s been 3 weeks since the result way past the isolation period . What a joke.
There will be s generation with severely interrupted education when it's all said n done.. extremely upsetting. I have two boys under two do it's very worrying..this entire school and academic year is a wash out. I am.not sure if this plan has truly been thought though when it roles out. There are hundreds of roles in our complex society that need a basic reasonable level of education to navigate not to mention more complex roles. How on earth will this be achieved under this level of missed schooling
Homeschooled kids are more independent, creative, skilled, mature- they don’t bully or get bullied. They have time to explore topics and to use their imagination. So I think they are more prepared for coping with the future and the necessity for lifelong learning.
Modern education was meant to create obedient workers.
It's a tragedy that this voice of reason is not more widely heard. We are in a scary situation, not from the virus, but as a result of Government's actions which is destroying millions of lives.
