Birmingham is just like Richmond Va. They are both underrated major cities that punch above their weight...

What does that mean as it relates to those cities?

Birmingham downtown is really nice, and Birmingham has some great suburbs like Homewood, Hoover, Vestavia Hills and mountain brook.

Born and raised in this city at 16:59 this is called red mountain expressway. That area between the interstate was were the mountain was cut open in the 60s. so you can go into the southern suburbs of the city. Us Birmingham natives call this over the mountain. Inside meaning really where the Rich ppl live and the other side is the have nots.

Thanks for watching! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. We have a lot of family history in Birmingham, unfortunately they were on the side of the “have nots” as you stated. Many family members born and raised in the southwest side, near the old Spaulding School/12th St SW area. Thanks again for watching! Please subscribe to our channel if you haven’t!

@ no problem will do. I was born in the west end area by at the time was Princeton hospital but moved and was raised by the airport area called Woodlawn which was also my high school name.

Birmingham is the best city in the South. Large world-class downtown; and an excellent blue-color economy.
