Lol this isn't the local Birmingham experience and she's more Mountain Brook. She's in a ritzy bubble.
There’s many places in Birmingham that the police don’t go to by themselves. Dangerous
Having grown up in Alabama, and even living in Birmingham for a time, i can say i woukd gladly pay any price to never live in that absolute dogshit state again
any particular reason not to live there?
My hometown! I love Birmingham and it will always have my heart.
It’s a ton of great restaurants, the people truly do get along, and the suburbs are really nice.
smokeshow
She's spot on. The crime rate in Birmingham is very high, probably best if you don't look it up, but it is mostly black on black crime, so if you're not in those areas it is relatively safe.
RIP
A huge con for me is that mountain passes funnel traffic into narrow areas resulting in colossal traffic jams twice a day, and accidents can back up the limited access for double digit miles with hour or longer delays.
Move outside bham. Very dangerous. I've lived here all My life
I’m really considering moving to Birmingham. You were very honest but you didn’t mention the Job market there.
Thanks! Always love feedback. The job market would probably require another video entirely! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about moving here. Our team is happy to help!
Do not. I have lived here my whole life. Spent the weekend in Huntsville and as soon as I finish grad school I am heading there. It is a much better place.
Please do not move to Birmingham Alabama. This is a genuine warning
Haven’t been there in 40 years!
wait why? i’m about to go to UAB and this just scared me even more
@@empyrein7720Don't believe everything you read online. Stay out of the bad neighborhoods.
@@al1665 thank you
@@empyrein7720Belive him im here rn, its hell here people die everday
The reason sales tax is high is property tax is low
Love to move to Birmingham
I hope you're not a Floridian?
@@TravelGuy9834why not im a Floridian considering moving to birmingham
I live about an hour away from Birmingham. And about one hour away from Huntsville. 95 out of 100 times i will go to Huntsville. Just look at the census population decline, if it was really great it wouldn't be losing people
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢thanks a lot my love
LOL Birmingham doesn't have a river running through the middle of it; they have a railroad turned into a park! (Would rather have the river.... lol)
Well said.
It’s ‘the’ largest city in the state.
I moved here a year ago, I wouldn’t recommend it, if you want to have a life and have things to do outside of going to a college football game
Thanks for commenting Jay! You gotta keep looking around. This is an awesome place to live and cheap. Hiking, biking, lakes, rivers, downtown, uptown, golf, architecture, concerts, and the food!
Great video
Tennessee has the same high sales tax, too.
Tennessee is 9 percent sales tax.
