I believe cav phalanx is best to defend... Reasons being the infantry unlike range do not sit still... Cav defends against infantry phal if you have a wall up and someone attacks in range phal then that range phal becomes an inf phal... This still places range behind and if they attack in cav phal its neutral and by the time cav breaks thru cav they are facing inf ... Now with no wall present I agree that inf phal is the best but if you have a wall with even 1 Hp then cav guards against 2 phalanx attack types working as a virtual counter to them and leaves you neutral to cav phalanx... Look at some battle reports when you attack in range phalanx and you will see that inf and cav rushes past the range guys who sit there when a wall is present to understand why I mention it.

I love cav phalanx. But after many discussions with other players I’ve kind of been torn away from saying it’s the best. Infantry phalanx is near impossible to directly counter...and since walls drop in mere seconds - inf wins for me.

Yaaay I'm first to follow the Facebook page :P, and formations are very important but very complex as far as the mechanics of the game goes but I agree with infantry phalanx being the best

Cav phalanx is the worst to defend in period, then cav wedge also worst to defend in. This guy must be a rally leader . Because saying cavs best to defend in , he couldnt be more wrong. Thumbs down automatically

I know you covered it in another video, but if you're getting reinforcements while in an infantry pahalanx, would it be beneficial to get say 30% ranged reins as well as infantry? Might be a dumb question :/

Eric Salsman , I think he talk in general go inf when you dont know what your teamate need but he should have specified I agree . most of the time people got infantry phalanx because they didnt researched lineup yet(small and medium guild) or default formation

Masterofall1 No. u wanna make sure ur inf is stronger than cav. Ur cav will basically be doing nothing in an inf phalanx....

Make sure you're running the right heroes. Your wall heroes should boost your frontline. F2P, Child of Light/Rose Knight. You want that HP as high as possible. I've never seen the point of using army heroes. If I'm wrong please help me out with why.
