Hi Miss Marlene, here watching
New subscriber, the lilies are so beautiful!
Lilies are very pretty. Some how I thought that these would bloom in March to April because of the name Easter Lilly. This brings back a lot of memories as my mom used to use these to decorate our church growing up.
Yes that's what we all thought growing up but they bloom in May and June. Thanks for watching 😊❤
I love this! I learn so much from you! Thank you for sharing!! ♥️
You are so very welcome. ❤️
Oh my, glad all is well with that bee sting
I love your Easter Lilies, They are so pretty! In my ares, Easter Lily can' over winter.
Yes they can and are indeed so beautiful and smell so nice. ❤️
Hi Marlene! Great tips as always! I have a couple of asciatic lilies in my garden! They bloom orange/black' beautiful! Your garden is so beautiful and vibrant! I enjoyed the video! Blessings! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much Del. I missed your comment. Blessings ❤️
Marlene your garden is sooo beautiful. Love the lilies wow they look so nice. Yes my dear be careful of those bees🐝🐝. I am not a fan of bees. I love the blue hydrangea. I had a blue hydrangea, but for the past few years it hasn't been blue. I am little disappointed. I was told sometime they do change colours. Any way happy gardening my friend ❤
Yes the Hydrangeas change colors sometimes. If the soil is more acidic it will be blue. ❤️
Your Easter lilies look very cute and are a manageable size. I do grow a few lilies, mostly under my daughter's window because she likes them so much. I have one pure white oriental lily, but it is at least 5 ft. tall. It's about 3 or 4 years old; each year it gets a thicker stem and more flowers. I wonder when it'll hit its maximum! 😂 I have not gotten to the place where something is blooming in my garden all of the time. I'm about to retire so I may concentrate more on that, but I'm not sure. I do have Nandina that the former owner planted (2 of them). I was disappointed to learn they aren't edible and even wildlife don't eat them, but after you mentioned the pollinators (a plus) I thought perhaps it's not such a bad thing to have a plant that isn't constantly being planted all over the place by birds. 😅 I also have a lot of pine and holly and also some spruce which is enough for me for now in winter. I like pansies, so I'm not sure which will win out- winter as a time of rest, reflection, and turning the focus inside or having pansies. At this time, I get the most pleasure from an early to late spring flower garden.
Hi Karen. It's wonderful that you have such a large lily plant and that your daughter shares your love for this plant. My Mom taught me how to be a good gardener. I learned in college too but real life experience are the best. Enjoy your Nandina. Happy Gardening. 😊
Does it matter what color my mulch is? Is it just a style preferance? Also, thats very smart to use coneflowers for shade!
Thanks Jared. The color mulch doesn't matter too much. It's more a matter of personal style. Blessings. ❤️
New subscriber here. Is that a camellia at about the 6:10 mark? I prefer to have blooms scattered throughout the seasons. I like those Easter lilies, I'm adding them to my list. My wife really likes those nandinas and they are festive around Christmas time. What zone are you in? Are you located in the southern part of the U.S., if you don't mind me asking. I'm in 7B, southeast Tennessee. Looking forward to viewing more of your videos and seeing updates. I started my channel the first of this year and just enjoy doing it. You have a great channel, looking forward to seeing it grow! ❤😊
Welcome aboard. I am in growing zone 8A. So a bit milder than yours. We love Nandina too. Wish the berries were edible but that's OK. Yes we have Camellia. Such a beautiful Winter bloomer. I did a video on them a few weeks ago. Happy Gardening. 🌼 🌸 😊
@@MarlenesHomeandGarden Cool. I will check out the camellia video(s). Probably my top 3 favorite plants.
