    Even I have a bad problem with staying silent for the simple fact that I'm so used to things blowing up in my face once i speak up. I have been there pets are family and losing on is a tragedy so i feel all this in my very soul. Gotta have some real moments in the channel as well I do too great words my guy

      Thanks so much man, I've been guilty of staying silent for too long in the past and that always manifests as an eruption of emotion. Talking, making connections, it is 100% the key to a healthy mind and soul

    Great video. 🙏💔❤😊 I lost my father a year ago in February and this year I lost my mom. I am not ok right now. So I understand grief and YES IT IS OK, TO NOT BE OK. Re: pets I have lost a cat and a guinea pig. I felt what you explained about my pets also. The little guinea pig was with us from 2 weeks of age until 4 years old also.
    Overall I really like what you said about grief in general. So true!! Sometimes you just want people to listen to your thoughts and feelings and not fix it.
    Bless you man for putting this video out there! Very well said. 😭😊😍

      Honestly thank you so much for the feedback, it took a lot for me to make it and I cannot even begin to fathom how you're feeling right now but I'm glad the message in the video came across loud and clear. Too often people feel like they should suppress or hide emotions, I just dont think we heal by doing that. Thank you for watching it, means the world ❤✌🏻

    Such an amazing, well spoken video, I'm really glad you took the time and effort to share your feelings. I honestly dread the day I have to be in the same situation you were, I'm incredibly grateful you talked about this. Massive hugs to you for your loss and bravery in sharing!
    Anyone who says 'it's just a ... get over it' I feel so sorry for, their lives must be so cold and empty to think that you can't love small creatures and that they aren't worth our love! I adopted two bunnies and I adore their cheeky personalities so much.
    Thank you for making this, it did honestly help me think a bit differently about something I'm trying to deal with, you're a gem!

      Honestly this response makes it all worth it, I genuinely appreciate the feedback & the fact you've taken the time to watch the video so, so much 😍
      Making this was such a powerful healing tool & just demonstrates first hand how important it is to talk & embrace the way you're feeling. Those bunnies are in good hands 😁✌🏻🐇

      @@BeardoBenjo So, so true, I think we'd all be a bit happier if we would just talk and listen to each other!! Thank you so much, you're an absolute star!! 🌟And just so you know, I found your channel through a share on Twitter from The Wicked Sisters, so glad I did :)

      Haha that's so so cool, those girls are amazing, I genuinely love their stuff, trying to convince them to play Visage because it is definitely the most terrifying thing I've ever played so seeing those guys tackle it would be hilarious 😂✌🏻

    Sorry to hear about your hedgehog, I haven’t had to deal with much loss in my life so far, my dads parents died when I was around four and my auntie also passed away when I was around 10 so I haven’t had to deal with too much so far. One thing I will say though is that I have a 16 and a half year old dog who at this point is mostly death and blind, he still gets about right now but I’ve got a feeling he’s not too far away from being past the point where it’s cruel to keep him alive and I get what you’re saying about being selfish because I know I won’t want to let him go but it’s just something that I know I’ll have to come to terms with in the next few months. Anyway, great video it’s good to get things off your chest and I thought you talked about the subject matter really well!

      Thank you for watching and taking the time to listen, its hugely appreciated ✌🏻 the selfish side of grief is an odd sensation, unlike anything I've ever known really, I'm usually a very logical guy but in this emotional instance my logic was almost completely over ruled by it. Anyone who loves and is attached to a pet will inevitably feel that selfishness at the end though, it comes from a good place, purely from a place of love ❤

    Aww so sorry for your loss I've been here twice with my akita dogs and I got the it was only a pet from people and that cut deep because they was like my son and daughter and my budgie Frank I was heart broken with him 😪 you did the right thing tho so don't feel guilt hope you and your wife are OK

    • @BeardoBenjo
      @BeardoBenjo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, I hate the "it's only a pet" argument, they're living things and they have the capacity to love and feel, my little morty knew my voice and was happy to curl up on my lap and sleep, you can have a connection with any animal, big or small! Owning a pet is a wonderful experience, it's just a shame that everything has to end one day
