  • @johncorona8869
    @johncorona8869 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    2 questions?
    1. why 2 conduits coming down from the roof?
    2. is the inverter the first box on the right?

    • @Mikefngarage
      @Mikefngarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the actual inverters are under the solar panels. The city required 2 circuits in separate conduit. Maximum of 20 watts per circuit. The first box is a sub panel. then there is a disconnect then the meter then the main panel. All required by my city and the plans reflected local code.
      So this is a micro inverter setup I HIGHLY recommend microinverters over a main inverter like the system you are used to seeing. Its safer, more efficient, less fire hazard, and much easier to install and maintain. But they cost a bit more.

    • @Mikefngarage
      @Mikefngarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the inverters are under the solar panels Microinverters the only way to go. NO big inverter they can be dangerous. and high voltage coming in.

    • @ericaltf4
      @ericaltf4 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      How did you know you needed a "sub panel" and how did you know how to hook all of this up? With microinverters, could you plug an AC appliance directly in to the inverter and use it? (assuming the panel was in a more convenient location instead of on a roof).

    great video thanks for taking the time and sharing. so who installs the components after the AC disconnect? do you and if so, what do you run it to since no meter is present?

    • @Mikefngarage
      @Mikefngarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well My best answer not quite understanding what you mean by disconnect would be your power company. I believe you are meaning the breaker on the main service panel. When you get your permit they specify all of that to you at building and safety. Plus the plans do the rest. With microinverters your wires will not be hot even when the sun is on them. So you can do your final hook up to the main service panel at very last and turn off the main to do that final hook up.

    • @kbob8424
      @kbob8424 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Mike F - so you installed the box and wiring where the first meter is then they just plug in the meter part and run that to the main panel into a breaker you installed?

    • @Mikefngarage
      @Mikefngarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@markyrocks69 yea but that means nothing if you cant get them approved for installation. I did not get ripped off. And before you say I did you need to be fair. Was that for all solar panels and Microinverters. The microinverters are super expensive and if you get the one inverter that you are in for nightmare with that many panels. I dont know the brand name off hand because I purchased them several years ago and they were rated in the top 10 of all panels. Plus the micoinveters. You really need to know what you can get approved where you live before you make that plunge by just buying the panels. If you cant get them approved by the city or county you live in they might as well be boat anchors. Mounting kit and engineer specs are a MUST for most places. And the plans need to meet guidelines. Super important. Price of panels means really nothing without that.

      THAT IS HOGWASH (Put a steel mesh Faraday cage around that cancer-causing dumbmeter), Read on:
      According to Google, Water (your Body parts) resonance Frequency is 2.45 GHz, that is the frequency of Microwave ovens ( www.schoolphysics.co.uk/age16-19/Wave%20properties/Wave%20properties/text/Microwave_ovens/index.html )
      A cell Phone produces A CONSTANT 6-watts power (maximum when far apart from cell tower), to minimize battery DRAIN transmit power is constantly being monitored.
      The so-called “SMART” meters uses UHF (Ultra High Frequency) cell frequencies that is only measured in Milliseconds VS Constant cell phone power. YOU WILL GET MORE DAMAGE with RF by a cell phone than by a Smart meter.
      Q: What frequency do they operate at, and what sort of radiation do they emit?
      The PG&E Silver Springs Network “smart” meter operates in the 902-928 MHz range, near the range of most cell phones, and in the radio-frequency microwave range (300 MHz to 3 GHz). The 2-millisecond spikes of RF (radio-frequency) it emits are randomly assigned to a pattern of alternating frequencies-the pulses keep shifting which frequency they are using. At least 90% of the pulses are not your data, but the “mesh network” talking to itself-also known as network “chatter.”
