Ahhh... I guess that depends on where you're from. We're at that beautiful moment between the end of the squash season and start of the lamb and new potato season in the UK.
I'm glad that you made squash as a spring food! In America, everyone only thinks of it as an autumn food, but I love it and I love to make it all year round.
Wash them first... then dry them out in a clean tea towel. Sprinkle with salt and oil and bake for about 10-15 mins at 180 degrees C. They should just start to go golden and sound hollow when dropped.
I just wanted to let you guys know I love your channel and love what you guys do I am currently in college and my future dream is to become a chef and I have a passion for food and I see you guys do as well and I enjoy seeing these videos and cant wait to try them when I get home this summer. I haven't had access to a proper kitchen in my dorm but watching these videos make me even more excited to get back in the kitchen. Any advice for an aspiring chef.
i love this and runnyrunny999! the lamb dish looks wonderful, excellent job and very inspiring. I'm going to make something similar, but with chicken that i just got fresh from the market. cant wait! thanks guys!
nice guys! love both of your yt channels! like how runnyrunny is ordered the dish with a video like he gets allways from subscribers! good luck in the future for all of ya! :) greets from germany
No oven, no blender, no food processor - not a thing I could cook on my two plates in my student appartment... I often just watch and don't cook, but it is not like I have never tried one of your recipes. I tried the white chocolate blueberry cheesecake which I liked, but everyone else thought it was too sweet with the 4 1/2 chocolate bars. Last weekend I tried the bellpepper/goatcheese risotto from your cookbook and I'm looking forward to try the tuna burgers in my very limmited student kitchen
Hi guys, just wondering, I love the squash purée idea, and I was wondering if you could either do a video showing things like that you can put on toast, or tell me if you can use that as a spread? Cheers!!
Well I can't cook most things because of the meat and egg usage, but it's fun watching what people in other places eat, and your videos are very interesting! :)
that looks fabulous! i'm definitely making this. i love lamb and butternut squash. i can't have potatoes, but that's ok. i don't think i'll miss them with the squash puree. :)
Ya got me. It's true, I just watch the videos. Once I get my house finished in a few months and have my own kitchen to work with, plus summer off (since i'm a teacher) I DO plan on trying more cooking!
I was hoping you guys could make a vegetable crisps video, with beets, carrots and yams etc... please please please. I've been trying to find one that is easy and simple but the instructions are always confusing for me, and i find your videos very well explained :D please and thanks!
That as may be, the longer an animal moves around the tougher its meat becomes - young lamb is really tender, if you cook it slowly it can almost fall off your fork or seem to dissolve in your mouth which is wonderful.
@albin pumpkin or sweet potato have a similar natural sweetness to butternut squash, and also the vibrant orange color, but pumpkin is closest :) Hope that helps!
sooo i know this is probably a really bad question, but would this work with any other meat (maybe with a few modifications)? i really dont like lamb but this looks so amazing!
This looks delish!!!! I live in a small town .. we dont have a real "meat market"... wal-mart carries the largest meat/produce :(... this would be a nice meal to prepare for my hub... as he loves lamb but I don't eat red meat . Do you think it would taste the same with chicken or turkey?
Truth is, I watch all of these but only maybe attempt 2% of your recipes. The other 98% of knowledge, I use to dazzle people. I pretend that I've tried them and offer tips. My friends think I'm awesome, just from watching youtube. For that, Thank you guys! xx
Omg runnyrunny999 and sortedfood are my two absolute favourite youtube channels! AHHH! Guys please invite runnyrunny999 to London and do a live show with him!!! :D
You guys are AMAZING! I was wondering if you could do takoyaki or sukiyaki which are both japanese foods that I can't find where I live :3 I've been craving them ever since I came back for Japan :D ありがとうございます!
What, no mint leaf as garnish at the end? Is it really sortedfood? (And how cute is Ben trying to avoid saying: butchered, killed etc. when explaining the spring lamb) :D
This is honored! Thank you for having me in one of your videos! And the food looks really great, too :)
We miss you runny!!!
the way ben says thank you after barry compliments him is so sweet; I die everytime :'') ben doesn't get nearly as much love as he deserves
yep... pretty similar. The butternut squash tends to be a bit sweeter.
I forgot this existed! You guys should totally do a collab with Cooking with Dog, that would be literally my favorite video ever
Always a pleasure Taro - and we'll have to get you a request to ask for something traditional to you! Stay tuned!
Ahhh... I guess that depends on where you're from. We're at that beautiful moment between the end of the squash season and start of the lamb and new potato season in the UK.
I'm glad that you made squash as a spring food! In America, everyone only thinks of it as an autumn food, but I love it and I love to make it all year round.
The mini chopper is brilliant!
Our liquidiser is designed for hot stuff... it has a loose steam vent and heat resistant glass. But check yours first! :D
Yep... also great with a robust piece of fish like monkfish or cod.
Wash them first... then dry them out in a clean tea towel. Sprinkle with salt and oil and bake for about 10-15 mins at 180 degrees C. They should just start to go golden and sound hollow when dropped.
I love seeing Ben do his chef-y stuff! Is like a little treat for us!
We have one in our cookbook coming up this summer... just finished writing and photographing it! :D

:O Runnyrunny!! Aw this is the best collab yet!
It looks sooo tasty! I don't eat meat though, so I have to think of an alternative for the lamb chop...
I love you guys. I noticed you mentioned about roasting the squash seeds. How do you do that, temp. ,time etc. ?
Superb! I can taste it through my PC...
mmm this looks amazing, I know what I'm making for Sunday dinner!
That as may be, the longer an animal moves around the tougher its meat becomes - young lamb is really tender, if you cook it slowly it can almost fall off your fork or seem to dissolve in your mouth which is wonderful.
That looks so incredibly amazing..
You can certainly order it from places like "bookdepository(dot)co(dot)uk" - just search "Sorted" - they do free international delivery.

@albin pumpkin or sweet potato have a similar natural sweetness to butternut squash, and also the vibrant orange color, but pumpkin is closest :) Hope that helps!

I love runny! I once sybmitted a video recipe to him for a contest and he also took an order from me for his japanese taco rice video recipe :D
I might sub in some crusted tofu for the lamb and see how that turns out. Or, stuffed portobello. That purée and those potatoes look fantastic.
Omg runnyrunny999 and sortedfood are my two absolute favourite youtube channels! AHHH! Guys please invite runnyrunny999 to London and do a live show with him!!! :D
