      If you did that then how could you tighten over the Teflon tape with the plastic white wing nut to secure the faucet? It would disturb the Teflon before your adapter install. I see why they did this sequence.

    • @ThePerfectWater
      @ThePerfectWater  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We experimented with that, as it would be a lot easier, but it didn't work correctly 100% of the time. You see that when you fit on the wing nut to secure the faucet to the countertop, it would run over the teflon tape, and thus you would need to reapply the tape to that spot anyway to ensure a good seal. We're actually introducing a new luxury standard faucet that has the faucet adapter built in, so no more teflon tape. Watch this space.

    • @ThePerfectWater
      @ThePerfectWater  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaeltamillow9722 Most inexpensive, commonly used humidifiers skip the distillation step, which is what would purify the water, instead they just atomize the water, which is a fancy way of saying that they push the water through a fine nozzle to create a mist or fog. Unfortunately, the water will carry some, to all, of the original contaminants into the air you breathe. It's a very good idea to use water purified by a Home Master RO or whole house filter in one of these commonly used humidifiers.

    • @ThePerfectWater
      @ThePerfectWater  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, absolutely. Float valves are sold as an upgrade with our HydroGardener Pro system, which is designed to work with a drip system, or large atmospheric (open, not pressurized) tank. If your humidifier is very large such as one designed for a whole house, you might consider this, or using one of our membrane upgrades would get you there too. The float valve can be bought separately here: www.theperfectwater.com/garden-and-hydroponic-filters

    • @ThePerfectWater
      @ThePerfectWater  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@edtan2861 Not necessarily. Distilled water has a 0 TDS. Water produced by any of our Home Master RO systems, without the Full Contact remineralization upgrade, will produce water with TDS in the single digits or teens, when used as directed. Even with the Full Contact remineralization, the TDS levels won't bother the humidifier or deposit meaningful amounts of calcium minerals in the tank. The winter air in AZ is very dry and so, personally, I have 3 basic humidifiers in my home. Our water works perfectly in them, smelling fresh and pure in the air. Plus, its much less expensive and much more convenient than buying distilled water or a countertop distiller.

      Please ensure your well is set to 40-60psi.
      Also, if your fridge has a built-in filter, then remove it and replace it with a blank/bypass. Its drawing down the water pressure, and not providing any additional filtration. If not, please reach out to our support team 8977-693-7873, as we will need some additional details on your water supply and install. • @ThePerfectWater
      @ThePerfectWater  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andrewdoss Yes. Leaving the feed valve open will allow the system to process the water. Leaving the tank valve open will allow the tank to fill & discharge the water out of the faucet and into your waiting container so as to perfectly quench your thirst, water your thirsty pet, or provide clean water for cooking. Notice that if you have the feed water valve open, but the tank valve closed, then you will see only the production rate at the RO Faucet - a trickle. The strong flow comes from the reserve tank.

    • @ThePerfectWater
      @ThePerfectWater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on your goals and your expectations. If on city water or potable well water with >40PSI, then the system will work without a permeate pump. It's actually available standard that way. Without a tank is another matter. The system will produce ~50gpd which is a trickle of water. If you are using it for gardening and are ok with a thin steady trickle, then you can use it without a tank. Please look at model HydroGardener as its available this way standard, but with a higher flow membrane 150 gpd. www.theperfectwater.com/garden-and-hydroponic-filters

      @@offswitch1 Firstly, make sure you are using a properly calibrated digital pH meter. I suspect you are, but it bears mentioning. Secondly, pH adjustment can be highly variable depending on the source water. Very thin, light source water will pH shift more than heavier more contaminated source water. Water has a limited ability to buffer against changes in pH - add a little acid or a little base and you can see significant changes in the pH. Acids taste sour. Add a few drops at a time of lemon juice to a big glass of pure water. Stir and taste the change generated by a few drops - a tiny fraction of the total volume. Finally, the pH might settle at a lower amount within the 7-8 pH range once the system breaks in.

      @@rotary_13b78 I had pushed mine in as far as it could go and did that multiple times (the instructions said to do it twice). I also pulled back on it to make sure it was snug.
      After removal, I checked for a pinched, flattened or poorly cut tube but mine looked pretty perfect.
      However, I realized that in order to remove the tube you pull back on the collar on the bottom of the fitting and I think when I was pulling back to test it the first time this collar pulled back a bit with it, probably causing the tube to unseat a bit.
      To fix it I removed the tube, sanded the edge to make sure it was perfectly flat and reinserted it, making sure the collar on the bottom of the fitting was all the way inserted into the fitting. This fixed my leak.
