I do understand how people feel about the government because I'm on SSI and I have been looking for a small water heater 7 months because after I pay all of my bills and groceries I still don't have enough money for a hot water heater it's like they just went up higher and higher so I do understand the government do not care about the poor the elderly or the disabled
Contact your electric company because years ago I got one from them and they prorated the cost into my bill over a few years time. Not sure if they do it with your company but I live in Ohio, and I do realize ever state is diff.
Contact your local community action or job and family services
They should have the information to get you a new water heater Installed for FREE..

1971 was the year I graduated from high school. Wasn't worried about social security back then. Worked hard all my life. Now I'm living below the poverty line, it's a different story! I wish Congress would STOP TALKING and DO something! FYI: California is NOT doing a thing to help Seniors or other beneficiaries - No checks, no discounts, no assistance of any kind!!!

It’s horrible when your on ssdi by the time I pay all my bills rent, utilities,insurance gas in my car and my medicine I literally have like 25 dollars left for rest of month I have been having to sell things I have and love just to make it the rest of the month there’s a big problem with the USA right now it’s horrible I have been renting my house for 8 years soon as pandemic hit my landlords started raising my my rent and they had never had in the years I have been here never late nothing my rent started out at 525 soon as pandemic started my rent went up 75 dollars the not even 9 months went up again to 725 I am so worried they will raise again.

😢 yes my name is Tracy Kelly I was on social security as a former child support and my father was a veteran and if you have a continuing disability after the age of 18 you can stay under your parents disability and since my dad was a veteran now I get an extra $500 a month so now I make over $14 a month

I have small ssdi and ssi and between both of them bearly 1000 per month for just myself . If they would come out with 200 a month . That's would get me up to about prot lines . And a good 2000 situstus. Ck.
Well talking about it is not helping us at all so I hope they do something alot faster before people are homeless or starved they need to get on the ball before it does get really bad in this world or should I say worse for people God bless all people suffering rite now . Amen 😢😊

I live in Kentucky and every time I get a raise on my SSI my SNAP benefits go down and my section 8 housing goes up so in Kentucky you can't win for losing

Matt I thought we were going to get some money in July 17 that was a lie it'll be next year for we get anything and they say July is supposed to be the number one money giveaway I got paid on the 17th and I didn't see no extra money in my check account.
Because the government places heavy restriction on people on SS programs - having any income besides SS, they are keeping us in poverty. We can't have a savings account or investments because then we loose nessessary benefits. That needs to be changed.
