  • Colonial Puerto Morelos
“La Colonia” (the neighborhood), is located across Federal Highway 307 by the new traffic circle where you turn to go to Puerto Morelos. It runs north and south along the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula and is where a lot of locals live and work. This side of town is where you will find the "real" local food and shops where you can truly get a feel for the "real" Mexico.

    Fun video! Thanks for sharing!
I had previously only been to
the Chedraui store in La Colonia, just after getting out of a colectivo and prior to catching a taxi to Puerto. I will venture further into La Colonia someday.

What a delightful video!! I always wondered what was on the other side. Thanks for wandering about. I enjoyed the tour. As usual, the locals are always so friendly and inviting. They are the best part of Mexico. Well, I think I'm gonna have to come back to visit PM real soon. I miss it dearly.

Thanks and this is our main focus point. To bring you everything Good about Mexico and the people who live here. It is the exact opposite of the US Propaganda about how dangerous it is. You would have a better chance of getting mugged, robbed, killed, extorted etc in the USA which is also doubtful than 90% of all of Mexico

@@darrellvivianpeters6631 - that’s really good to know because we considered going there but heard the hawkers are very aggressive in Havana. If that’s not your experience then we might go 👌

@@Spontaneous2day There are lots of hackers there just raise your voice a bit no screaming lol and they will back off because if you attract the attention of the police/army who are everywhere they leave you alone...loved loved Havana but more so love the Holguin area and Cayo Santa Maria...Varadero was great we did a pub crawl there with a group I found on Trip Advisor it was so much fun we found places we never would have on our own....we took local transport there and had no issues at all they really are great people...I find more appreciative of tourists in the south area than Varadero...just my take on it...Viv

Something bothered me about my answer to you "Trip Reviews" so I went back to re-check the video. The Hyperlapse in the beginning was done from my Hero 8 attached to a headband mount. The ride around Old Town was indeed done with my Hero 9 attached to my Selfie stick.

@@TripReviews I bought mine as soon as they came out and was lucky enough to have it shipped to my step-son's house prior to our arrival to Colorado and a week before we left for Mexico. Yep, I paid the premium of whatever it was back then.
