- These past couple weeks I’ve made SIMPLIFYING a priority, and I started by diving in to my closet & creating my first capsule wardrobe! It’s been so fun, and so freeing to eliminate the pieces in my closet that no longer serve me. Now I only have thirty items that I LOVE (including hats, shoes & accessories), and it oddly feels like I have way more!? I’m curious your thoughts of capsule wardrobes - Have you tried it? What did you like/dislike? I'm absolutely loving it so far. Can't wait to start on my winter wardrobe already! - Hailey

Love what you've managed to put together for your fall wardrobe, and so inspired by your use of colour! I see so many people putting capsule wardrobes together that just stick to neutral tones, and it doesn't often leave me too inspired. You've nailed it! Think I need to go grab myself some of those striped Madewell tees... so cute and love that you think they wear well!

I think my biggest challenge would be including outfits for church. I would need an entire capsule dedicated to Sunday! I noticed you only included two dresses and one pair of shoes for church.
How do you make your Sunday outfits different so you don't feel like you're wearing the same thing each week?
Hailey I love this idea, I've never heard of a capsule wardrobe but I think it's such a wonderful idea 😊 I love how you said having less actually made you feel like you had more, I'm definitely going to give this a try! I brought all my clothes to Canada in one suitcase.. So hopefully it won't be to hard 😊 xox

I love this idea! I am literally going to go home and do this this weekend! I have so many clothes I don't wear anymore. Also, the clothes you are getting rid of I will buy from you haha!

sentimentality is exactly what prevents me from downsizing as much as i'd like to!
ps: our styles are so similar and i absolutely love it! i've considered my recent style (since starting college) to be very "mom" and this is exactly what i mean - and in the best way possible! :)

So cute! We are living in a bedroom at my brothers house until January when our townhouse is built so I packed up most of my clothes plus saving for our down payment I've basically been living on a capsule wardrobe and I've found it actually been a fun challenge and so nice to not think about what the wear! I definitely get sick of wearing the same sweaters over and over.... but really.... who cares?

After reading the Magical Art of Tidying Up. I really narrowed down my wardrobe. I found it kind of hard to really narrow it down though because of being pregnant and nursing. I know that when those seasons are done I will have to readjust. It really feels so much better with less choices though.

If you don’t want to donate your clothes to DI, at Corner Canyon Hight School right now we are doing a clothing drive for Kingwood High School in Houston Texas. They lost everything and our high school is helping them get back on their feet, and their principal asked us for cool weather clothes. We would love more clothing donations, but donating to DI is always great too!!
