Martin's fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire has been adapted into HBO's fantasy drama television series House of the Dragon as a prequel to the Game of Thrones series. But the show creators have taken liberty in interpreting the character's physical appearance. I used AI to generate the characters based purely on book descriptions.

Corlys indeed was. He was older than Rhaenys' father even and Adam and Alyn were the ages of what would be the great grandsons to a man his age when he had them.
I think we're unanimous that Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen is absolutely perfect cast. And he's way better than the mediocre AI version portrayed here. So is Aemond Targaryen played by Ewan Mitchell.

Yes it wouldn't be impossible but the strong boys had brown hair and Laena's daughters had silver hair just like people from old valyria...and not only the hair every physical features were different like Laenor having aquiline nose..purple eyes...while strong boys had pug nose and brown eyes......

But entirely impossible for a Valyrian (pale skinned) family to suddenly have black skin, which made the question of Jace's and Luke's real father a total joke. How on earth could Laenor have ever been their father. That alone was the beginning of the downwardspiral of HOTD that continued in season 2...
@@prashidrai6417 Laena had kids with Daemon who, unlike Rhaenyra, was 100% Valyrian; that makes the twins more Valyrian than Andal (Baratheon). Rhaenyra and Laenor on the other hand are both 3/4 Valyrian and 1/4 Andal (Arryn and Baratheon respectively with the Arryns having brown/dark hair while the Baratheons are known for their black hair), so any kids they had actually had a good chance inheriting non-Valyrian features (Jace was ) like how Rhaenys had actually inherited mainly Baratheon features from her mother with only her purple eyes and dragon giving away the fact that she's a Targaryen. There's also the fact that the Velaryons had the classic Valyrian pale white skin color, so the only thing that should've made people question their legitimacy should've been things like eye color and their noses because of how ambiguous their overall looks were.
If anything Rhaenys could've been used as a perfect example of how Targaryens don't always look Targaryen/Valyrian; right along with characters like Jon Snow (Rhaegar), Aegor Rivers (Aegon IV), Mya Rivers (Aegon IV), Bellenora Otherys (Aegon IV), Rhaenys (Rhaegar), ect. Instead, they wanted to take the easy way instead by basically using skin color to make apparent that the boys weren't Laenor's.

Alicent had pale-blonde hair in the books, undoubtedly. It was part of why Jaehaerys thought she was one of his daughters, and other Hightowers in the story are said to have been similar to Valyrians in appearance. (Minus the purple eyes for the most part)

Rhaenys was actually described to have silver hair before fire and blood was released! Idk exactly in which book, but either in 'the rogue prince' or 'the princess and the queen/the blacks and the greens' or some other early books based upon the dance of the dragons story! But later they were all combined and extended and changed in minute details to make "fire and blood". That way, the author maybe gave rhaenys black hair, to make it possible for jacaerys and lucerys to be actually legitimate.

To many model perfect people. That's why Tyrion Briene and Vaserys are my favorites.
While there isn't much description wise for characters like Otto and Alicent (beyond having the typical Andal features of brown/reddish hair and green to brown eyes); but you had TONS to go off of for characters like Rhaenys if you were *truly* using the books as a source material for descriptions. It looks and sounds more like you used one of the SoIAF Wikis along with your own general idea of how they should look.
Rhaenys hair was NOT silver 🙄 it was black she is half Baratheon, which is why in the books her grandchildren’s hair actually makes sense being black vs the show making her have silver hair get it together.

I think the rhaenys description was wrongfully taken from a different rhaenys, wife of aegon the conqueror, as it was well known she preferred keeping her silver hair long and loose, contrast to her sister visenya who kept hers in tight braids
