When you talk about "km of autonomy", is that influenced by French "autonomie"? I think I never heard that term being used about range, except your channel. I'm more used to "autonomy" being about levels of autonomy, or self driving cars. 0 No Automation 1 Driver Assistance 2 Partial Automation 3 Conditional Automation 4 High Automation 5 Full Automation When you say you have X km of autonomy, it sounds to me like Elton will drive for X km, before you have to take control, but I know it is about range.
@@MeandMonAmi I don't mind at all. I was kind of confused the first times. Now I've gotten used to it, and get the point without much extra thaught, thow it makes me smile whenever I think about how confused I was the first few times. I think it boosts the authenticity of Frenchness of your show. 🙂👍❤️ (As a Norwegian I'm familiar with a few "false frends" with our neighbor langeuages Swedish and Danish, where the same/similar word mean different things: "le" = laugh - Norwegian smile - Danish, Swedish "grine" = cry - Norwegian laugh - Danish, Swedish

Very Cryptic 🥸
My humour is trapped in 1974!
Living as I do in far off Chiang Mai, which of course you know well, it is a rare treat to hear a polished raconteur describing what lies behind the images. Thanks to Covid I have literally not been in face to face conversation with another Englishman so it is joyful to hear your weekly vlogs. And of course to revel in the hidden gems of the oh so special northern English humour. Thank you so much.
@@SomchaiSpeaks That’s so lovely to hear. We can’t wait to get back to Chiang Mai!
Pinsa, drool, cheese pull YUM.
I’m a pinsa convert!
How do you switch on the main beam and half beam lights? As you are in France...I think you should both wear wigs, false beards and moustaches and do a cookery video called, 'British Cooking In France by the Hairy Quadracyclests'.
The lights come on with the ignition and ho off with it! That’s it!
@@MeandMonAmi You mean the lights are on all the time? I know when you turn the key all the electrics come on, but, in all the AMI Videos I have watched I have never seen anyone at night switching the main beams on or half beams when another car is coming down the other side.
was yesterday powerless, was empty at 3 degree, today minus 2 degree, this is really not funny. Make some tests in cold Bavaria, would be nice to drive with German Opel Rocks-e to meet Citroen Elton ;-) with some Rocks-e-drivers ,-)
Thats bad news. We are as low as 3 at night here but not yet tested it in sub zero
@@MeandMonAmi but how many degree at day. At home at night under minus 5 degree
Yesterday we were at 7 in the mountains. Not as cold as you
@@MeandMonAmi at 3 degree around 62 km as - - comes, yesterday at minus 2 after 53 km - - comes. But some say when - - comes then the battery should hold 5 km again at rest
@@EdmediaDeyerlerEric if We get chance we will attempt to drive up to the ski slopes here and see what happens!
When you talk about "km of autonomy", is that influenced by French "autonomie"?
I think I never heard that term being used about range, except your channel.
I'm more used to "autonomy" being about levels of autonomy, or self driving cars.
0 No Automation
1 Driver Assistance
2 Partial Automation
3 Conditional Automation
4 High Automation
5 Full Automation
When you say you have X km of autonomy, it sounds to me like Elton will drive for X km, before you have to take control, but I know it is about range.
Yes I think it is because everyone laughs at my use of autonomy!
@@MeandMonAmi I don't mind at all. I was kind of confused the first times. Now I've gotten used to it, and get the point without much extra thaught, thow it makes me smile whenever I think about how confused I was the first few times.
After realizing French use the "false friend" of autonomy for "range". I think it boosts the authenticity of Frenchness of your show. 🙂👍❤️
(As a Norwegian I'm familiar with a few "false frends" with our neighbor langeuages Swedish and Danish, where the same/similar word mean different things:
"le" =
laugh - Norwegian
smile - Danish, Swedish
"grine" =
cry - Norwegian
laugh - Danish, Swedish
Playlist with each video……blooming autocorrect!
Good idea!
Oooh, I wish you wouldn't do time lapses going downhill! 🤢😂
Fasten seat belts
would be much improved with instrumental soundtrack only no whining wimps
