Thank you so much! It’s the little strips of Tear & Tape that we put under the side flaps at the top. Towards the end, those get stuck down. Because the stopper that is attached to the bottom of the slider is wider than this new opening, it won’t come all the way out.
i just found you and this video beautiful card! I have a ??? tho what stamp did you use for the embossing? thanks in advance for a reply. i've subscribed so i dont miss any of your cards thanks again/
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing ❤️! There isn’t embossing on this card, but there is stamping with one of the stamps that came with last month’s Paper Pumpkin kit. I stamped it with Stazon Ink 🙂. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Love it! Such a clever use of the products. Vy, do you have any suggestions for adapting this card so it would be appropriate for friends/relatives other than a spouse/significant other? (Can’t really say “you have the key to my heart” to my brother or cousin.)
There’s a piece that is white with a purple center. That was originally part of the cardbase from the kit, so it started as 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”. After trimming, it’s 4” x 5-1/8”. There’s an all-purple piece that was intended as a banner. It gets trimmed to approximately 2-1/4” x 4-1/4” after cutting off the angled parts. Hope that helps! Vy I saw this technique and I love. Can I borrow for my paper pumpkin alternative tutorial? I have seen it before on other cards but forgotten. I do it bilingual for my customers.

Awww thank you so much! It’s very doable!
I loved this tutorial Vy, thank you for sharing, I've made a couple before but they didn't slide very well so I'm excited to try this!
Have fun! There should be enough of a difference between the width of the stopper and the width of the card that it should slide easily 🤞
that is so clever
Thank you. I appreciate it!
You always have great such great alternatives! I love this!
I didn't see how to stop the slider from coming completely out. Did you use dimensionals?
Thank you so much! It’s the little strips of Tear & Tape that we put under the side flaps at the top. Towards the end, those get stuck down. Because the stopper that is attached to the bottom of the slider is wider than this new opening, it won’t come all the way out.

Maybe use the “Love is the key” sentiment instead?
That will work great! I don’t have my Paper Pumpkin yet, so I didn’t know what other sentiments are included.
What is the original size of the just purple piece before cutting off the 1/8 of the sides and the 3/8 of the top?
There’s a piece that is white with a purple center. That was originally part of the cardbase from the kit, so it started as 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”. After trimming, it’s 4” x 5-1/8”.
